Hi - Just hearing more and more folk getting covid again (and not been mentioned much on media). I just wondered as Omicron 4 & 5 becoming the more likely strains of covid to get now, what have been your earliest symptoms? Just wondered if presenting any differently to the other covid strains.

Dd blocked nose couple days and headache but not responding to hayfever medications. I have similar.

Thanks Kc

I have covid now and mine started with a dry, scratchy throat.

I had Covid a couple of weeks ago and it started with a scratchy throat, then it felt like I had been out partying all night with a croaky voice from too much singing and talking! Then I could barely get out of bed for a day as I felt dizzy and achy.

Horrible headache for a few days that I put down to dehydration - I did loads of walking and wasn't drinking enough. Then felt tired but weirdly too wired to nap. Next day the cough and aches/chills, took to my bed for 2 days.

Sore throat

Loss of taste and light-headedness, plus a general 'under the weather' feeling. I might have had a sore throat but I had been giving presentations at work so I put that down to talking more than usual. I don't remember a blocked nose or headache but it effects different people differently. I didn't test positive on LFT until day 3 of symptoms.

Sore throat and 'dehydration' headache. Then runny/blocked nose, cough and jelly legs.

Never had COVID before and tested with a blazing positive this morning.

It started off with a dry scratchy throat, fuzzy head and progressed last night to hot/cold body feeling, runny nose and slight cough.

All 3 of us had it 2 weeks ago. DH's started with a cough, mine started with a fever and DS started with a croaky throat and a bit of a sniffle. DH caught it 1st and we both caught it off him.

Woke up this Monday in middle of the night... 3am-ish... feeling hayfeverish with stuffy sinuses. EXACTLY the same as the first time I had it.(only 3 months ago!)

Scratchy throat. That was it. That was the whole of my symptoms luckily. Wouldn't know. I had it if I didn't test.

One bad night followed by a day feeling very achey, the next day running nose and itchy ears thereafter feeling tired and headaches with runny nose. No fever. The snot is the last thing to go. Still testing positive this morning but really need to get on with life so in a bit of a quandary as to whether to go and get on with life now, it's been over a week...and I've isolated / stayed away from people - including an important family event in a large indoor setting, but this can't go on indefinitely. Government advise implies it's ok to go out now but I have been completely indoctrinated about spreading it so don't want to.

Sore throat (not painful but definitely annoying) and lots of sneezing followed by chills/fever and three or 4 days of achy limbs and heavy tiredness. It also corresponded with me getting the booster vaccination so I am not sure how much was the vaccine and how much was the actual covid. It never materialised into a snotty cold though…just a tiny bit congestion.

Very first symptom was I felt very cold and just a bit off colour

next morning - scratchy throat, runny nose, joint pains. Tested and it was positive

didn’t get much worse except for the snot build up and loss of taste and smell for a few days.

Have covid now!

Definitely started with scratchy throat, waking up with a piercing headache and then started with runny nose and hacking cough.

Still have all the above but now have no appetite and ache everywhere. 😷

Lower back ache- God it's dreadful but I didn't think much of it at first as I am a very achey person. This was followed by a scratchy throat and sneezing. Other symptoms have been a bad head, sore throat ( on one side bizarrely) and fatigue.

early symptoms - feeling under the weather, headache, tired, sore throat. Tested negative for about a week with those! Then eventual positive when started feeling breathless, achy legs etc. Could do without it!!!

Sore throat and runny nose – to be honest I thought it was bad hayfever at first

DH - headache and chills for 24 hours then nothing.

DS3 - absolutely nothing except insomnia.

Me - exhaustion and dizziness.

Following. My throat is on fire and I can barely stay awake, started yesterday, negative test today so may just be another lurgy.
