What have been your early symptoms of covid if had last couple months?

Hi - Just hearing more and more folk getting covid again (and not been mentioned much on media). I just wondered as Omicron 4 & 5 becoming the more likely strains of covid to get now, what have been your earliest symptoms? Just wondered if presenting any differently to the other covid strains.

Dd blocked nose couple days and headache but not responding to hayfever medications. I have similar.

Fever, mild nausea and headache, then a cough, sneezing, and a slight sore throat. Not interested in eating. DH is a few days ahead of me and has had fatigue and muscle aches too.

Mine was just like my normal hayfever, but then the snot just stepped up a level and I started to feel hot so tested and got a line.

Throat. Day before positive. Every time... have just had third bout!
Then every time body aches everywhere. Not as bad this time but still 2-3 days of leg pain, back pain, arm pain... I seem to suffer from this quite badly when Ill (colds, virus etc) any way.

I'm interested in how it manifests in different people. I know that's part of it - but it can't be totally random. Why each time have I been floored with fatigue and shooting pains everywhere, my friend has had it gastrically every time. There must be underlying reasons why we may be susceptible to certain symptoms. Interesting.

Lasted a week this time and now just left with lots and lots of snot. Sinuses.

I had a weird scratchy feeling in back of
my throat and felt a bit tired Sunday evening.

Woke up with PJs, bedsheets and duvet soaked (and I mean soaked) in sweat. Had a high fever plus awful headache for 4 days. Bit coughy and snotty but not major, lots of sleeping and no appetite.

I’m on day 6 now and it’s the first time I’ve woken up feeling relatively okay so hoping I’m on the up. My partner is on day 10 and finally feeling better but she had to work through the first few days which I think set her back.

I've got it now. My first symptoms were all over body aches and tiredness. In fact those have been the consistent and most prominent symptoms throughout. Later I started very mild cold symptoms: bit of a cough, runny nose and sneezing.

The very first early symptom I had was one of those ‘I give up’ days, everything just went wrong and I didn’t have an ounce of energy even to think about fighting. Two days later got a runny nose and it all made sense!

day before i was sneezing thought it was hayfever ,woke up the next day with a headache hot /cold sweats tested positive ,slept a lot, day 3 lost my smell and started coughing ,tested negative on day 5 now day 7 and i still have no smell and only a slight cough ,1st day back at work as i work fri - mon so will see how i am tonight as i already feel like i could go back to bed

Very minor cough in the first afternoon then by the time I got home from work I had a scratchy throat and runny nose. After a couple of days got a sore throat, Mild fever, and very blocked nose. Basically a bad cold.

Day before I felt a bit out of sorts, and itchy in my ears .... next day woke up with a dry scratchy throat (as if id spent the night snoring ) then rapidly developed a head cold then a bit of a dry cough. Day 7 the head cold had eased but I had a fever. Days 8/9 slept loads and felt a bit light headed/ no energy. I worked through from home.

Now I'm back to the office I'm still shattered and keep getting a pounding headache and lingering sniffles.

Me: sore eyes, blocked nose (felt hay fever-ish even tho I don't generally suffer from hay fever except for one summer ages ago). Coughing a bit. A few sneezes. Bad headache most of Sunday. Positive test yesterday. Spent entire day in bed today and mostly feel fine now but will be going to sleep soon. Second bout of covid for me, last one was July 2021. Triple jabbed, booster was in March.

dh: also triple jabbed including booster in March. First covid for him. Very very tired, has slept LOADS since Thursday. High temperature, couple of days of fever, horrible phlegmy cough. He's pretty much back to normal today. His dose of covid has been far worse than mine.

Weariness, then dry cough in the night which woke me (and my first thought was, its covid.) High temp, chesty cough, wierd sleep patterns, feel dreadful, and everything smells like burnt toast!

Mine started with a scratchy throat like when you start getting a cold. It came on very suddenly in the evening and I tested positive - I and only tested negative that morning and felt fine all day.
My symptoms were very mild nothing worse than a cold. Slight headache, tiredness and felt hot on and off. I completely lost my sense of taste and smell for a couple of weeks too.

Came on very quickly last week. Awful headache out of nowhere which painkillers didn't shift then sore, very dry throat (just couldn't drink enough liquid) followed by fever, shaking, aching legs.
Now Day 8 and still very, very tired with reduced sense of taste.
Like pp said, bit shocked/surprised by how ill I've felt. I've had it worse than DH and DC who've had it at various points over last 12 months.

First symptom fever - came on very quick. Sore throat, headache and nausea/sickness. First timer here after 3 jabs.

Got it last week. First day was a slight sore throat. Then a sore lower back, jelly legs and fever. Was in bed for 2 days during which annoying cough and industrial levels of snot also developed.
Zero appetite.
Sense of smell switched off on about day 4 and has been intermittent since. On day 8 now and still have brain fog and fatigue. Am generally very healthy so quite taken aback by how ill I've felt. Triple jabbed but I guess it's 6 months since the last one.
Interesting that DH who had it simultaneously had much more of a headache and sore throat. No loss of smell but also a cough, fatigue and brain fog.

The standard cough was my first symptom. Nothing else for the first day, not even tiredness, and it felt like I’d swallowed something wrong and had to keep clearing my throat.

DS3 - absolutely nothing except insomnia.

Me - exhaustion and dizziness.

early symptoms - feeling under the weather, headache, tired, sore throat. Tested negative for about a week with those! Then eventual positive when started feeling breathless, achy legs etc. Could do without it!!!

Lower back ache- God it's dreadful but I didn't think much of it at first as I am a very achey person. This was followed by a scratchy throat and sneezing. Other symptoms have been a bad head, sore throat ( on one side bizarrely) and fatigue.

Have covid now!

Definitely started with scratchy throat, waking up with a piercing headache and then started with runny nose and hacking cough.

Still have all the above but now have no appetite and ache everywhere. 😷
