deaths (within 28 days of a positive test) is a lagging indicator of course but looks like the peak will be some way below that seen in early April, which in turn was significantly lower than the early 2021 peak

Thank you!
Zoe Apps total numbers have just started dropping too.

I know someone who tested positive only 3 weeks ago, had negative tests all last week and is testing positive again. She had symptoms both times too. Not sure what to make of that; am hoping she's an anomaly rather than sign of the times.

I noticed that too, fingers crossed it’s a proper trend. No reason why it wouldn’t be but you never really know. Have to say I’m not liking the speed of peaks and troughs.

thanks @boys3 for keeping up with the graphs Smile

RafaistheKingofClay · 21/07/2022 10:52

Agree @Cornettoninja. If nothing else I’m currently fed up with living with Covid meaning everything gets disrupted every few weeks because everyone’s got bloody covid again. Hoping I might get another booster before the next wave but it’ll be close I think.

JellyBeanFactory · 21/07/2022 15:31

Cautiously optimistic.

As ever @boys3 thanks for all your hard work on these threads.

Cornettoninja · 22/07/2022 14:59

I think most schools have broken up now (my dd just finished today) so I wouldn’t be sorry to see an accelerated decline in infections now.

It just keeps going up again. I hope that the schools being off will help slow the spread, at least a bit. Fingers crossed.

JanglyBeads · 23/07/2022 11:06

It's starting to go down anyway, and Sch holidays will help. We'll have the festival effects again though I guess.

and possibly the graduation ceremony effect, as, thankfully, most seem to have these back on this year, went to DS2's yesterday, but at his and probably most unis three years' worth of students to get through.
