Struggling to get LFT's

Anyone else? I've been trying to order a box online for the past 3 days and it keeps saying non available. I thought it wasn't coming to an end til the end of the month.

I'd be surprised if you can get any before the official cut off date, they're not going to replenish supplies now. All part of the plan to pretend life is back to normal.

The BBC reported yesterday that 1 in 5 people are currently positive and, combined with the end of free tests, I think demand has outstripped supply.

The 1 in 5 figure is an estimate, based on if tests were readily available. It's likely to be accurate, but the lack of tests preceded the jump in infection numbers.

Do you have a link? It does seem to be everywhere but 1 in 5 sounds insane.

I managed to get some online yesterday, I tried in the morning (while reporting my positive result) and they didn't have any. I tried on the off chance around 8pm and my order went through.

I managed to get some just after 7am on Friday. Not sure if they are released at 7 as I tried before 7 and the order wouldn't go through.

There's a Twitter account which informs you when they're available from the website, it seems to be roughly 7-830 every morning and a short window in the afternoon.

Check out @LFT_alert on Twitter. They advise on when they’re available and not. I’ve found 8 -9 pm the best time to order them.

I've not been able to order any for the last three days either. However this morning I managed to get a box from my local library.

I got a code for my local boots, the pharmacist said they've not had any for 2 weeks and aren't likely to get any despite ordering them every day, he did try to sell me a single test for £5.99 though 🤣

I’ve really struggled too, we are self isolating as positive, there are 2 adults 2 kids and now it looks like we won’t be able to return to work/nursery because we can’t get enough tests to prove we are negative. Angry I’ve been so frustrated. I’m NHS too so really have to be negative to return but employer can’t get me any more... Also WHY do they make you enter all the details before saying no slots available?

We were handed a box each last week when we went for PCR test, seemed like a good idea so could test for isolation release, hasn’t happened before. Not sure if it’s a new thing or if they’d clocked that the PCR was to confirm a positive lateral flow.

It's ridiculous that the NHS hasn't got a supply for their staff, ffs why is stuff like this so crap here.

I tried this morning no joy tho had togo to my friends who thankfully had 1 lft left for my son who tested positive no beable to test myself or dd tho.

I’m in Wales and just ordered some at the first go.

Ds has just tested positive so we all need to test daily now. I’m NHS and there are plenty in work, but the box of 25 that I brought home only has 4 left - that should have lasted me all of next week and the week after, when I was going to get another box but it’ll only get me to Tuesday now and DH and dc1 also need to test so we need more.
