… what symptoms do you have?

I’m on day 3 and have had none of the three official symptoms, but muscle aches, fatigue and bizarrely, excessive thirst yesterday and then today a really dodgy stomach, mild sore throat and classic cold symptoms (sneezing, snotty etc).

Anyone have the same? Other than the sore throat, it doesn’t seem like it matches what I’ve read are typical Omicron symptoms, let alone Delta x

I just had a mild sore throat, a headache & a slight cold. This was a couple of weeks ago.

MrsSnoops · 07/03/2022 10:10

I’m achy, temperature, banging headache and jaw ache. A few sneezes, a bit of a runny nose and a bit of a cough. No sore throat.

Norugratsatall · 07/03/2022 10:17

I've had Covid ( now have LC). I suffer from excessive thirst when I'm having a flare up of symptoms so it's definitely a thing! It comes and goes though.

MrsPelligrinoPetrichor · 07/03/2022 10:18

What you're describing are Omicron symptoms.

Myturnatlast · 07/03/2022 10:21

I had it last week. Still got a bit of a runny nose & chesty cough but on days 1 & 2 I was achey and sore all over and sooo tired... feel like it's going to take a while before I'm 100% but I had no high temperature or loss of taste / smell and my cough was definitely more chesty than dry.

Hope you're feeling better soon!

NewMum0305 · 07/03/2022 10:25

@MrsPelligrinoPetrichor

The Zoe study says the main Omicron symptoms are

runny nose
headache
fatigue (mild or severe)
sneezing
sore throat

No mention of dodgy stomachs, body aches or thirst.

Thank you all. I hope everyone who has it recovers soon, and everyone recovering feels fully better asap!

Day four for me. Started with headache and bit of a cough. Headache gone by yesterday (day three) but replaced with snotty nose, hoarse voice, intermittent rattly cough and general off feeling.

EmmaStone · 07/03/2022 10:55

Day 7 for me, and finally tested negative this morning.

I actually had a slightly upset tummy on the Friday before, then felt like I was getting a cold Saturday and Sunday . On Monday, had a case of the sniffles, and tested as heard of a few cases at work - positive. My symptoms were sneezing and snotty. Not particularly tired, no fevers or aches. Slight cough, but would have put it down to post nasal drip rather than a cough for its own sake. Was very, very mild.

Didn't isolate, and (so far) no-one else in the family has caught it, which is excellent news.

Sparticuscaticus · 07/03/2022 11:21

Get the Zoe covid19 app

Stomach complaints and all sorts are common as well as sore throat runny nose sneezing with omicron strain.

I had it for 2 1/2 weeks had cough shortness of breath sore throat struggling to swallow food and so many other symptoms including Fatigue and aches - and it was rough! But then I'm CEV group (& vaccinated)

Rockbird · 07/03/2022 11:25

Just had a positive test. Got blocked nose, banging headache, scratchy throat and a bit of a cough. Have been feeling knackered and a bit achy all weekend.

Am mildly terrified, am CEV but triple jabbed so will probably be fine. Just a bit freaked to have avoided it for 2 years and spent those 2 years being so worried.

Everyone I know who has/had covid recently and I know loads (it seemed like everyone we know has had it!) described your symptoms.

MimosaPiqueNique · 07/03/2022 11:36

I currently have it. Yesterday was really rough today is slightly better. Symptoms; chills (less now) nausea, slightly dodgy tummy, sore throat (gone now), awful headache, very stuffed up, metallic taste in mouth, tiredness. I’m starting to cough a lot.

I’m triple vaccinated and fit (runner) so I’m surprised how bad it’s been. I am just starting to be able to look at screens again without wanting to vomit.

Hope you feel better soon.

Marisa444 · 07/03/2022 13:57

Hoping to feel better soon

I tested positive last Wednesday, first symptom was a tickly throat. I also had a migraine (but that disappeared on day one with migraine medication - don't think it was Covid related).
Then developed into a very mild head cold.
A slight cough at times.
No temperature.
Random aches and pains at times.
Slight dizziness yesterday and today - not loving that as I had chronic fatigue type illness in my twenties and dizziness was a big issue for me - hoping it passes.
Otherwise, feeling anxious and depressed, but not sure if that is down to Covid or other issues going on (relationship and world events).

Dynamicsloth · 07/03/2022 14:45

It seems to be day 2 for me though I had very mild symptoms for 4 days previous to that. Now very similar to a bad cold. Runny nose. Congestion. Brain fog. Mild fever (under 37.5). Dry cough on and off. Slight change to taste and smell only.

Gjd60 · 07/03/2022 14:58

Started with a metallic taste and feeling a bit groggy early Sat morning and tested positive straight away with a fairly faint line. Symptoms have been a sore throat, headache, chills and goosebumps, slightly runny nose, a couple of sneezes and feeling tired and lacklustre. Had a fright last night waking up gasping for air but it soon subsided and turned into a phlemghy cough. Feeling chesty now and occasional coughing. Lower back ache. Tested strong line positive yesterday and today.

parrotonmyshoulder · 07/03/2022 15:05

Very tired from Saturday. Scratchy throat and a few jabby head pains Sunday. Muscle aches and worse head ache in the night, positive this morning. No cough, runny or blocked nose yet. Very tired and headachy.
Ds has been positive since Friday - mostly temperature, headache and vomiting.

Quamora · 07/03/2022 15:16

I’m on day 6

For around a week before testing positive I had a gross taste in my mouth
Got a sore throat Monday (tested negative that morning) which then developed into runny nose and nose feeling swollen on Tuesday (tested positive that evening-day 0)
Mostly felt snotty for a day then got a bit dizzy and spaced out. Mild headache. Swollen glands and sore armpits. Had a cough days 2-4. Mostly feel fine just doing anything is leaving me wiped out so I’m doing a lot of sitting.

MulberryBush700 · 07/03/2022 15:17

Day 1 here (started feeling a bit off yesterday but only tested this morning).

Blocked nose on and off, sore throat, muscle & joint ache. My neck hurts and I can feel my lymph nodes are quite swollen. I haven't had temperature yet but I do find myself shivering from time to time. I also have that warm feeling in my chest which I get before I start coughing.

Wishing you and everyone a speedy recovery.

Eve · 07/03/2022 15:20

chills and fever Saturday , and then a really dodgy tummy with associated feeling really sick yesterday and today as well as being wiped out.

SpikedTea · 07/03/2022 15:35

Tested positive this morning after feeling horrific yesterday.

So far I have had terrible muscle pain in lower back and legs.

Shivers - Hot and then freezing on and off

High temperature

Very tired

Cold symptoms

Thirsty and dry lips

Scratchy throat and mild cough.

It's honestly been the worst I have ever felt. I have been double jabbed but no booster.

Oh that doesn't sound good, Im so sorry you are so poorly. Whilst I don't (yet!) feel this awful, I certainly have the lower back & leg ache too. It's so bizarre. My hips are quite sore too, similar to when I get particularly bad PMS symptoms.

Don't mean to hijack, OP, I might start a Covid moan thread haha!!

Rainbowgravy · 07/03/2022 16:05

I'm on day 1, tested positive yesterday. I have a blocked nose, cough, sore throat and burning sinus pain which is by far the worse symptom at the moment, very painful. Also very fatigued and in bed. Get well soon everyone.

MimosaPiqueNique · 07/03/2022 16:35

Chills and shivering again, I’m making pasta pesto for dc then hot shower and bed for me.
