I thought they said omicron was mild?

Everyone i know said it was just like a cold.

So far i've had : dizzy spells, horrendous migrance, sinus pain, burning eyes, body aches, on/off nausea, bad stomach, tickly cough, pressure in nose, insomnia and general feeling like utter crap/anxious.

This isnt what everyone described where its just sniffles or a cough. People I have know have had it for a couple days with no symptons at all!

Have i got a different variant, has anyone else experienced these symptons with omricon?

I know it sucks but honestly that does sound mild. Having had Covid in 2020 (pre vaccines) and omicron again last month the difference is remarkable. Covid 1 - 2 x trips to hospital, 1 month IN BED (couldn't walk, crawl to toilet) unable to do anything due to lung pain, immense fatigue, heart pain, migraine, general flu stuff. Covid 2 - one week feeling unwell, 2 days of which I needed to be in bed or on the sofa fully mostly but the rest was 'OK' to potter around a bit. Took me another week to feel pretty much OK again this time. With round 1 it took me 18 months to feel OK. I know it's awful being unwell at any time but please have sympathy for those who have been in hospital / died / lost relatives / still have long covid 2 years on (many do). You will be likely be OK in a week or two if vaccinated. Rest, keep hydrated, keep eating and take a week of sick. For the anxious / weird feeling (i got that too both times) try some yoga nidra recordings if you can manage it as it's very relaxing. Also remember all the supplements, D, C, Zinc, Omega 3 as a start. Obviously if you go downhill and feel really bad call GP as they will send you in. Take care OP.

OP I felt worse for 48 hours before the LFT detected Covid - hideous headache for two days and a day of feeling cold / not getting warm plus back pain overnight. By the time I knew i had covid (was LFTing every day) this had morphed into a streaming cold. I didn't need to take to my bed although it took 14 days for me to feel completely back to normal. Was no worse than other viruses I've had over the years tbh.

I'm sure I had Omicron and would say flu summed it up better than a cold. Sore throat, headache, body aches, exhaustion,
