If you've had Covid since Christmas (so more likely Omicron), which was your worse day symptom-wise?

I currently have Covid and I'm interested in peak poorliness! I wonder if the day people feel most ill is similar at all.

Days 2-3, I had a temperature, along with sore throat and nose started running. By day 4 I just felt like I had a cold, it took a while to clear and get full energy back, but the first few days with the temperature were the worst.

ChipButtyCurrySauce · 11/02/2022 20:02

I tested positive 2nd January. Had no symptoms what so ever! Was just doing a routine weekly test before going into work. Wouldn't have known otherwise.

Ohsofedupwiththis · 11/02/2022 20:09

Day 0. But I was just tired and felt like I was coming down with the cold.

Feel like that again tonight - but don't think I will catch it again after 3 weeks Wink

WaitinginVain · 11/02/2022 20:10

Days 3-5 were all awful for me.

allpanicnofuckingdisco · 11/02/2022 21:06

I tested positive about a month ago. Day 2 and 3 were worst - I was hot and cold, achy enough to make big sad noises when sitting down or getting up, knackered but couldn't sleep at night. Around day 5 the aches and stuff switched off like a light and instead I lost my sense of smell (but it's back now).

CovidCorvid · 11/02/2022 21:08

Day 2 for me.
Day 3 for dd

LabraDabraDoo · 11/02/2022 21:09

I’d had a couple of days of what I took to be hay fever (endless sneezing, itchy eyes) , then got a scratchy throat ( positive LFT that evening), then a day of feeling full of cold and an afternoon dozing on the sofa ( day 4 I guess). I felt grim when I woke this morning but feel fine now and I’m only showing a faint positive on one brand of LFT ( other is negative). I bet I’ll be negative on both tomorrow. It’s a shame if happened this week- we had to cancel our holiday in France 😔

I felt worse this time around. Just snuffles and lost taste with Delta. I guess my booster has worn off a bit now though.

delilahbucket · 11/02/2022 21:22

Day 6/7 when I got a raging fever and the worst sinus pain. The first couple of days weren't so bad and I thought I was fine. I'm still poorly now, two weeks later. Constantly wheezing, blocked and/or runny nose, coughing and exhausted and my singing voice is shot which I'm most pissed off about.

EstelleCostanza · 11/02/2022 21:25

Second day for me

Sunflowers765 · 11/02/2022 21:41

DD sore throat headache days 1-3, didn't test positive until day 4. Tired and achy and sore throat but headache gone day 5 and 6. Better day 7,normal day 8.

RG2468 · 11/02/2022 21:43

Day 2-4

StripyOnesie · 11/02/2022 21:45

Days 3&5

mulberrybag5 · 11/02/2022 22:19

Day 1
I had a banging headache.
Tested negative tho!

RightsHoardingRaptor · 12/02/2022 05:36

Day 3. I was beside myself with aches and congestion

Mymincepie · 12/02/2022 07:41

Seems quite early on, the peak of symptoms. Which is good news for current cases as there is light at the end of the tunnel!

First couple of days mild symptoms then I had a couple of days feeling like I'd been hit by a bus. I felt terrible, couldn't get out of bed or even read a book. Then I had a week or more where symptoms were like a roller-coaster. Kept thinking I was getting better only to feel like death a bit later. Good days followed by bad days. I'm now 3 weeks in and just feel tired a lot. Still much improved though.

WorryMcGee · 12/02/2022 08:48

Latter part of day 1 and day 2. After that, I’ve been absolutely fine. Had I been able to take the normal cold/sinus meds on day 1 and 2 I think even they would have been relatively fine but I can’t as 29 weeks pregnant. Already suffering from antenatal depression and being stuck inside when I’m not the slightest bit ill is making it worse.

dicdicnurse · 12/02/2022 08:53

Day 4&5 I felt fairly rough,
Day 12-14 I felt like death, it was horrendous! I thought I was over it and it floored me.
Now day 34 and starting to feel normal again, able to exercise, not so tired, appetite has returned.

This is the same as my experience. My sense of taste and smell is a bit hit and miss still though.
SpongebobsPants · 12/02/2022 09:05

Relatively speaking, my worst day was probably day 4. But even then it wasn't bad at all. I had a bit of a cough and my sinuses were quite congested. It was a mild cold for me. Am up to date with all available vaccines.

DS(9) threw up all over the living room sofa and rug on his day 2. That was his worst day and not a lot of fun for me either! But he was pretty much fine other than that.

Same here. Did too much yesterday on day 18 and feel rubbish again. Dh is similar

Triple vax.

Jules912 · 12/02/2022 11:14

Day 3-5 for DD, though she was pre-symptomatic when she got her positive ( testing as a contact) so think our dates are a bit screwy anyway.

Buzzinwithbez · 12/02/2022 11:20

Possibly day 9- when the sinusitis had gone and I was testing negative, but tried to get back to some fairly moderate outdoor activity and felt a bit dizzy.
If I hadn't tried to do that, the three days of sinusitis were the worst (3,4 and 5) , but nothing I don't deal with on a monthly basis anyway.

JunoLunar · 12/02/2022 11:38

Never, I felt fine the whole way through, manic almost at times!

Ha yes, ironically I had more energy and slept better too! I was disappointed to go back to my usual baseline once recovered!
