All 3 of my dc have had covid over Xmas.
I didn't catch it. Most of last week I felt a burning in my chest and very, very mild sore throat. I have been lft testing every couple of days as I'm NHS and they have all been negative.
Last night I just felt like testing as my throat felt kind of thick and it was an instant strong positive.
Today I feel fine apart from the very very mild sore throat.
I'm double jabbed and boosted in Nov.
Will it get worse ? My eldest dd triple jabbed felt the same, youngest dd not vaxxed but eligible is still suffering 4 weeks later.
I'm really hoping it will be mild so I can just carry on!
Did anyone feel pretty much OK all the way through?
I mean recently with the new variant.

Me and my 3 kids (12, 8 & 3) had it in December. I'm double vaccinated but not boosted yet.
Kids sailed through it with nothing more than a bit of a temperature, a mild cough, a snotty nose and a bit of tiredness. If covid wasn't known about I wouldn't have thought it was anything more than a cold.
I had mostly the same as the kids but also had a loss of taste and smell for a week. I also went deaf in one ear which I had to take steroids for and it's now 95% back to normal.
My husband didn't catch it with us in December but has it now. He's double vaccinated and boosted. He's been tired, has achy muscles and has a mild cough. Again, you wouldn't know it was more than a mild cold.

We all had it over Christmas inc my elderly parents. All fine, just like a bad cold really.

My unvaccinated 14 year old.

No temperature no coughing a slight sniffle. Eating everything I’ve just bought in the supermarket.
In normal times I’d have happily sent him to school and thought nothing of it

Had covid in Jan so presumably the new variant. Was like a mild head cold - bit of a sore throat and stuffy nose but that's about it. I'd it wasn't for isolation I would've gone to work as normal.
I'm double jabbed and pregnant.
Had original covid in 2020 and was more flu like - muscle aches, feverish etc but not much in the nose.

DS 16 tested positive yesterday morning. It’s just a runny nose and slightly dry throat, says he feels absolutely fine. Half his class have it, so it was a matter of time before he succumbed, It’s barely even a cold so far though which is great.
Me and dh are ok so far, testing negative.

marieantoinehairnet · 06/02/2022 22:03

Positive right now, symptoms so far as follows:

Day 0 - headache
Day 1 - headache, fever, aches
Day 2 - aches, spore throat, sneezy
Day 3 - congested head, cough
Day 4 - coughing a lot snd tired
Day 5 - cough feels chesty

Occasionally still going warm, feel tired, but was expecting worse as I'm immune compromised and fat!

Ok I feel so normal bar a very slight runny nose, that I tested again. I'm negative?! On day 3 ????

Not vaccinated, mid 40s, 3 days of sinusitis plus loss of smell. My fitness was noticeably down for a week after I started to test -ve , but I could have carried on throughout. No tiredness etc.
