And if you chose not to please don’t give COVID to my red zone working partner.

I’m CEV, I’m positive, I can have only caught it from him - and he works In a red zone where last week 98% of patients were not vaccinated

Sorry for the moan.

OP posts:
HoppingPavlova · 10/01/2022 13:10

Should have added, you can be double/triple vax’d and still have these, not vax’d and have them (at this point as long as you meet the at-risk criteria, which realistically should cover everyone truly at risk of getting seriously I’ll if they catch it).

SantaClawsServiette · 10/01/2022 13:11

@Urthie

Yes and if every intensive care doctor did that then…
If every one did it than it would mean that for some reason a heck of a lot of people had serious doubts about that vaccination, and maybe the people trying to force it on them should really give some thought to why.

If you believe that the evidence and theory are good and the authorities credible, that should convince a lot of people. Which it has. If you don't, then people may be right to have doubts. We don't live in bleeding China.

Remmy123 · 10/01/2022 13:11

Not necessarily OP.

My unvaccinated friend got covid and didn't pass it on to his unvaccinated wife or family.

Spectre8 · 10/01/2022 13:11

What right do you have to tell other people what to put into their bodies? Zero!

Honestly do what you need to do to protect yourself.

PinkSparklyPussyCat · 10/01/2022 13:11

@UnconditionalSurrender

You're right OP. I have serious doubts that these people on the threads who start I'm vaccinated but then spew out the anti vax pish are vaccinated at all.
What's your definition of 'anti vax pish'? Do you include people who have doubts about getting the vaccine or only those who spread misinformation?
BoodleBug51 · 10/01/2022 13:12

If we're bringing in compulsory vaccination, can we please add compulsory treatment for health anxiety.

Thanks.

@OhdearOhdearOhdearIndeed

Sick of posts like this. I hope when this is all over the people who have been angry keyboard warriors will look at themselves and realise that you can't demand someone else do something just because you think your opinion is better than everyone else's. It has made this pandemic unbearable, as if it isn't bad enough already. This is for people who have extreme views on both sides of the coin - people who would jab people even if they are allergic to the vaccine and the others than think all vaccines kill people. Shows a real lack of intelligence and not being able to see both sides of a complicated issue. Also includes calling people who won't have a booster jab 'anti vaxx'. Perhaps with much of the third world unvaccinated (including those who are vulnerable) they don't think it is ethical to have further vaccines when they are fit and healthy.

Or maybe we should ask why people might not trust our government/pharma companies in the first place? Social pressure doesn't make people trust these people more, it just makes them more suspicious.

The intolerance that Covid has brought screaming to the fore has indeed been the worst thing about this shitshow after the virus itself. There have been so SO many people who believe they have some sort of moral right to tell other people what to do and to be nasty, patronising and bullying over it, and to demonise anyone who has an opinion that differs from theirs even by the tiniest bit.

I get that it comes from a place of fear but that does not EVER make the bullying acceptable. As you say, I hope when all this is over that they will look back in shame at how they have behaved.

@JanisMoplin

9 people have died of the vaccine in the UK, I think. Not thousands and thousands. Millions have died of Covid . Such rubbish!
Because the figures are not completely honest.

The covid death figure actually states that it's documented as 'any cause within 28 days of a positive test' ..so when I had covid and finished my isolation period, if I'd been hit by a car a week later; that would've counted as a 'Covid death' and bumped their figures up.

Open your mind. Look at the other side of the figures - cardiac arrests and heart conditions are up a totally insane % compared to previous years - especially amonst teenagers. Since they started jabbing teens. If you don't think that's linked, then good for you.

But INFORMED CONSENT and CHOICE is what's important.

It's a lot more than 9 people

The MHRA has received 676 UK reports of suspected ADRs to the COVID-19 Pfizer/BioNTech Vaccine in which the patient died shortly after vaccination, 1,176 reports for the COVID-19 Vaccine AstraZeneca, 24 for the COVID-19 Vaccine Moderna and 37 where the brand of vaccine was unspecified.

HoardingSamphireSaurus · 10/01/2022 13:13

I mean, it has been proved that having the vaccine is better. Measurably so

Yes Janis I know that, I presume you know that too. But god forbid anyone tries to be annoyed about the non vaxxed whilst saying so!

anonsattic · 10/01/2022 13:13

people like you and your attitude makes me sick

This comment above was uncalled for. This is someone who is CEv and is anxious about Covid.

Her partner is on the frontline and sees what Covid can do to people, especially those who are unvaccinated. I'm sure it's a harrowing experience.

Don't worry, we aren't

Nothing is compulsory

Nobody HAS to have these vaccinations

JinglingHellsBells · 10/01/2022 13:14

You ARE less likely to pass it on if you are vaccinated. This has been known for a long time. I'ts because your viral load will be less.

www.newscientist.com/article/2294250-how-much-less-likely-are-you-to-spread-covid-19-if-youre-vaccinated/

People who are fully vaccinated against covid-19 are far less likely to infect others, despite the arrival of the delta variant, several studies show. The findings refute the idea, which has become common in some circles, that vaccines no longer do much to prevent the spread of the coronavirus

They absolutely do reduce transmission,” says Christopher Byron Brooke at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. “Vaccinated people do transmit the virus in some cases, but the data are super crystal-clear that the risk of transmission for a vaccinated individual is much, much lower than for an unvaccinated individual

The risk is reduced by 63%.

JanisMoplin · 10/01/2022 13:15

Oh well @SarahBop DS is vaxxed so if he now drops dead of a heart attack, my bad! I decided to ask a doctor instead of people on MN.

SarahBop · 10/01/2022 13:15

@FurCoatNoNickers

OP, mind your own fucking business. I've had my vaccinations but I cannot abide people like you ordering others to put something in their body that they do not wish to. Read up on coercive behaviour.
Totally agree.

What this government are doing regarding the NHS mandate, would be considered coercion/an abusive relationship - I am horrified that it's suddenly acceptable, in 2022, for them to breach the Nuremburg code and Human Rights laws.
They are disgusting - especially when they didn't even follow their own rules [hancock, cumings, the 'xmas party'] Utter utter bastards.

JinglingHellsBells · 10/01/2022 13:16

@Tana433

ODFOD
Yuck. Horrible post to someone ill with Covid who is CEV
Jobseeker19 · 10/01/2022 13:16

I'm triple vax and had covid.

If anything vaxxed people spread it more as they are less likely to display symptoms and will carry on as normal until tested.

FortVictoria · 10/01/2022 13:16

@SantaClawsServiette - I am vaxxed, as is my whole family, but it is because of my own independent research. I have no faith in the “authorities” at all. The WHO have advised that all women of childbearing age should be banned from drinking alcohol, and the FDA allowed and abetted the Sackler family to make millions from the suffering of many of America’s poorest communities, and kick started the shocking opioid crisis in America. Nope, I have no faith in the authorities at all!!

Faultymain5 · 10/01/2022 13:17

@Rosscameasdoody haven’t been out since the beginning of last year, except for essential doctor’s/hospital appointments etc.

Where you can pick up Covid. Judging by my Dad's appointment just the other day.

m1shap3 · 10/01/2022 13:17

But people could end up in ITU from another illness/injury, and still have have covid whilst in there, and pass it onto your OH. Or his colleagues could pass it onto him?

GirlInACountrySong · 10/01/2022 13:18

Ah! The "You could get hit by a bus" declaration. Always reassuring!

I haven't read the whole thread but OP, your partner who is vaccinated caught the virus and passed it onto you also vaccinated but you are blaming the unvaccinated.
