Literally anyone and everyone I know has had it mildly. From the start through to today.

TellMeItsPossible · 31/12/2021 15:43

I have no idea what strain we had, but me and 2 dc (young teens, not vaccinated yet, me 2 doses) all had just bad colds really.

G123454321 · 31/12/2021 15:49

My husband tested positive xmas eve and didn’t even know he had covid. We tested on request of family who we were meant to spend Xmas with.
Isolation finished yesterday after 2 days of negative tests. I’m now feeling achey but testing negative.

Presents all sat around the tree which sucks.

McCheney73 · 31/12/2021 16:04

I don't know which varient I had but very mild for us all

Tested positive Xmas Eve due to sore throat. Well enough to cook Xmas dinner!

Xmas day night very minor headache and felt a bit cold. This carried on the next 2 days (headache only) sore throat gone.

By 28th all symptoms gone and clear to go out today!

Partner pretty much the same but a bit more achy at start.

5 year old positive no symptoms

1 year old negative.

Possibly had it back in March 2020 although don't know for certain.

I could of worked the whole way through. I've had a lot worse colds

MindTheChristmasGap · 31/12/2021 16:10

Everybody I've heard who has had it.

GlassRaven · 31/12/2021 16:16

Head cold symptoms here. Runny blocked nose, lots of sneezing. Dry throat. Up and dressed every day and looking after DCs- one is also positive.
No headache, no temperature, no aches and pains, no cough, no loss of taste or smell.
After 4 days like this, it is clearing up today - except suddenly itchy all over! Taken antihistamine and seems fine.
Mid 50s, max-vaxed and boosted mid Dec.

Elizabeth110100 · 31/12/2021 16:29

I've had worse hayfever. Bit of a runny nose, slight dry cough and sore throat.

HighlandCowbag · 31/12/2021 16:47

Me! Tested positive on lft, not surprisingly as dh has it, or did anyway. If I hadn't been testing I would never have known. Very slight sniffles for a day and a scratchy throat, bit headachey but nothing paracetamol doesn't shift and a bit tired. But would have put tiredness and headache down to too much Christmas spirits.

Today is 3rd day, I've deep cleaned the bathroom and bedrooms and dusted and polished the entire house, absolutely fine. Oddly though slightly tearful but it's been a shitty year with a bereavement and think that's playing on my mind.

HelenaJustina · 31/12/2021 16:52

Two cousins asymptomatic (tested prior to visiting elderly relatives)
One uncle, obese but triple jabbed and only v mildly unwell.

Queenoftheashes · 31/12/2021 16:54

I had barely a cold. Slightly sore throat, one slightly blocked nostril and a couple of sneezes. I don’t think I’d have qualified it as even a cold if I hadn’t had a pcr tell me I had a virus.

Caterina99 · 31/12/2021 16:58

DH and I both positive. Assume it’s omicron. DH tested cos he had a dodgy tummy and felt a bit nauseous. Pretty much no other symptoms, fine in 24 hours.

I had a scratchy throat, felt like I was getting a cold and it never really came to anything. Probably 24 hours of symptoms.

Caterina99 · 31/12/2021 16:59

Also both of us double vaccinated and boosted last week

RAOK · 31/12/2021 17:02

I’ve had it and it’s been nowhere near as bad as a cold.

anothernamechange224466 · 31/12/2021 17:14

I'm waiting on my PCR results after 2 positive LF, but I think I have omicron as it's the dominant variant where I live. I have had covid already and 2 jabs. Made me poorly for a day, headache, fever, hot sweats and extremely tired. been fine since. Nowhere near as ill as the first time I had it.

LittleGreyFluffyCat · 31/12/2021 17:24

Three of us in my house have had Covid since 23rd and 27th.

DS1 - feeling fine, mild cold, now totally well
DS2 - 2 days of headaches and droopy tired feeling, followed by cold symptoms, now feeling fine and well
Me - feeling like I have a very bad cold, there's been a lot of sneezing, headaches, some body aches initially, low energy on days 1-3.

The hardest part is isolating in my house and not seeing DH

stressedy · 31/12/2021 17:46

me i am positive x i am tired but in all honestly i was worse than this when i have a viral infection a few months ago.

Battytwatty · 31/12/2021 17:51

I have it currently. Tested positive on Wednesday. Took LTF as I felt like a cold. Today feel absolutely fine. Maybe a bit of a cough. Husband had it much worse.

TheDudesmummy · 31/12/2021 17:52

My dad is 78 and has had a heart bypass and two stents. He had a cough for a week and fely tired for a few days. Back to normal now and was cleaning his swimming pool yesterday. My mother had her antibodies tested to see if she had had it. She had, she has no idea when as she never had any symptoms.

Waxonwaxoff0 · 31/12/2021 17:53

My friend tested positive last week. She was just very tired for a couple of days, no other symptoms at all.

5128gap · 31/12/2021 18:10

1 night sweat, 1 afternoon of aching legs, very slight headache. Which tbh when you're a 52 is pretty much all in a days work anyway!

Kite22 · 31/12/2021 18:11

Not sure if Omicron, but am assuming anyone who has had it in last 3 or 4 weeks likely to be that? Everyone I know has had it mildly - like a cold. However all the people I know of that have had it, have been vaccinated.

Going from the figures coming out of intensive care, it is being vaccinated that seems to be the difference.

Georgeskitchen · 31/12/2021 18:14

Son and fiancee
Both double jabbed and booster
Mild cold symptoms

TheDuchessOfBeddington · 31/12/2021 18:18

My DH. Got positive PCR on 23rd. He said it’s no worst than a hangover.

HermioneWeasley · 31/12/2021 18:22

Everyone I know how had it has either had no symptoms or the mildest sniffles ever

Singerleon · 31/12/2021 18:36

We have it now, I have a few aches and a bit of a scratchy throat but it comes and goes. Would barely register as unwell. We did tests as we were close contacts, otherwise I wouldn’t believe this was COVID.
