Lateral Flow Tests

Balanced12 · 22/12/2021 19:10

Can't find any where with Lateral Flows left, it's madness how are people able to 'flow and go' or test each day if they can't access tests.

AIBU to be irriated about this

Order them online. They usually come there next day. They seem to have stock at the moment.

whowhatwhen · 22/12/2021 19:18

I've had no issues ordering them when needed online, then tend to arrive the day after the day after I order them. No supply or ordering issues at all in the last few weeks.

ChicCroissant · 22/12/2021 19:21

I can't order any by post as it says 'sorry, there is a problem with your order' right at the end - none of the local chemists have any stock either, despite track and trace telling me that one did. It is frustrating. There must be a lot more people testing over Christmas before seeing people, which would be a good thing.

bloodywhitecat · 22/12/2021 19:22

I have absolutely no success when trying to order on line and as I can't leave the house at all at the moment it is very annoying to not be able to get any.

Balanced12 · 22/12/2021 19:23

I'm having the same problem as @ChicCroissant the online system comes up as a 'sorry message'. I have a QR code but all local pharmacies are out.

We haven't been able to order any for weeks and there are none in stock locally

GertrudePerkinsPaperyThing · 22/12/2021 19:23

Keep going back to the site. I couldn’t order any yesterday but could this morning

FluffyBooBoo · 22/12/2021 19:24

Have you tried phoning 119, as it suggests if you can't order online?

itwasntaparty · 22/12/2021 19:25

I've ordered a few times a week with no problem and they arrive next day. We all have to test regularly so need more than a box a week.

DH got given a box of 20 when he went for his booster yesterday. They also have a huge stock in most schools so if you know anyone who teaches they may be able to help in the immediate.

Akire · 22/12/2021 19:26

Took me 3 days to be able order some. Have one box now. Would make more sense then to be dropped off at centre points locally rather than massive workload for total Mail I mean how many can one postman add to a round? Not that many especially with Xmas levels of post.

Hopefully it’s lull as most people are not testing regularly but will
Before mixing with family over Xmas. Have you tried mass SM ask? Someone in social group could have a box spare

2anddone · 22/12/2021 19:27

Our library has them and never run out as not everyone seems to know you can get them from there...maybe try your library in case you can get some there?

SundayTeatime · 22/12/2021 19:27

None available in person where I am. Tried ten different pharmacies. People are queuing outside them to ask. Online keeps saying none available.

comfyslippets · 22/12/2021 19:29

Loads being given out by libraries where I live

Walkingthedog46 · 22/12/2021 19:29

On line, Mine keeps coming up with ‘there is a problem with your order’ too. Found a chemist with one last LFT but they couldn’t let me have it as I hadn’t got. QR code! Finally worked out how to get one - by which time the last one had gone! Surely it shouldn’t be this hard. No way my relative in her 80s would be able to get one. She has no computer or mobile phone.

Frazzled2207 · 22/12/2021 19:30

I have been able to order a box almost every day over the last week.

Garysmum · 22/12/2021 19:31

I have a local LFT testing centre. You get tested there and they give you a box to go home with

ThettaReddast · 22/12/2021 19:36

I have to order a box every 3 or 4 days or so and have had no issues ordering online the last few weeks, they have just been taking longer to arrive. I always order first thing in the morning if that helps?

Siameasy · 22/12/2021 19:39

Just go about your normal business without.
Soon they will be charging for these. Flow N go-brilliant business idea. Might stockpile and sell.

Icequeen01 · 22/12/2021 19:46

At last I have found an advantage to working in a school at the moment! Luckily we were given box loads of the damn things. Probably just as well as I currently have Covid and my DH and DS are having to test daily.

alongwayhome · 22/12/2021 19:52

They seem to come in stock online at various times - I checked this morning none available, but ordered some at 5pm. Have you got any friends who work in a school or hospital who could give you a box?

ilovesooty · 22/12/2021 19:56

What a dreadful post, if it was serious.

I ordered some online today with no problems.

StrawberrySquash · 22/12/2021 19:59

@Walkingthedog46 I believe you can phone up to get a code if you aren't online

pigsDOfly · 22/12/2021 20:01

Yes, my library has them as well.

I had no idea that libraries were stocking them so it wouldn't have occurred to me to ask for some there. I only found out because one of the librarians was offering some to a rather frail old man when I was in there yesterday.

worriedatthemoment · 22/12/2021 20:54

Just ordered some online this minute and order gone through

FatOaf · 22/12/2021 20:59

No LFT kits where I live, either (tried every day since last Monday). Fortunately, there were some available online this Monday and they were delivered this morning. When I went to the supermarket at lunchtime there were still none at the pharmacy. There were none at the walk-in centre in town yesterday, so I didn't try the library as I thought the council would give the walk-in centre priority.
