When did you test negative on a LTF?

I tested positive this morning and was wondering if anyone tracked their lateral flows? How long did you test positive on them for?

I know you aren't meant to but I'm guessing people have and just curious!

Tested positive lateral flow Friday morning had PCR Friday evening which was positive. Tested lateral flow today and negative. Wondering what this means

TangoTarantella · 21/12/2021 19:39

Tested positive on LTF and PCR on Friday. Continued to test positive on LTF every day until Tuesday.

ohcantbeliveit · 21/12/2021 19:52

@trackand @TangoTarantella did they go gradually faint or were there clearly one day and gone the next?

Hope you're both feeling okay!

It took 12 days for mine to go back to negative.

trackand · 21/12/2021 19:54

I haven't done lateral flows in between but Friday morning was bright negative line and then today absolutely nothing, very clear negative.

I'm okay thanks, wouldn't have never knew I had it had I not lateral flow tested for work. Hope you have a negative soon

worriedatthemoment · 21/12/2021 20:06

My ds tested positive lft and same day on pcr and 2 days later negative on lateral flow
But he only picked up his infection via lft as asymptomatic so could of had it for a couple days , previous negative lft was about 4 /5 days before

TangoTarantella · 21/12/2021 20:33

Clearly positive one day, negative the next. Not even a faint line.

SoftPillow · 21/12/2021 21:06

Positive Saturday.

Negative Thursday. Still felt awful. Didn't test in between so don't know when I was first negative.

Sparkle275 · 21/12/2021 21:08

I was still testing positive when my isolation ended but it was faint. Everyone else in the house had covid but were testing negative at the end of isolation. I was testing negative around day 14.

IncessantNameChanger · 21/12/2021 21:12

For my son it went negative within the ten day isolation. They wasnt about when I had it

GoldenFondue · 21/12/2021 21:14

I'm on day 8 of isolation (started on my first positive ltf) and I was still positive today. Definitely the faintest line I've had but still there.

wtftodo · 21/12/2021 21:14

Very strong positive day 1. Faint positive day 9. I’ll do another tomorrow..

Tigerwhocameforsupper · 21/12/2021 21:16

Day 5 of isolation my lateral flow tests went negative.

alwaystakethetrip · 21/12/2021 21:21

Day 10 today. It's still positive

jenkel · 21/12/2021 21:25

Around day 14, but very faint positive by about day 9

mrsdolittle · 21/12/2021 22:14

Still tested faint positive on day 14. Clear on day 15

boomboom1234 · 21/12/2021 22:17

If people still had a faint line did they still isolate? Trying to work out if a negative lateral flow result is good enough to feel confident mixing with family outside the household on day 11 or 12.

ohcantbeliveit · 22/12/2021 08:08

Interesting that isolation can now end after 7 days!

HerbertChops · 22/12/2021 08:09

Both my DS tested negative day 4

Soulstirring · 22/12/2021 08:11

I still got a positive at 10 days, husband 7, daughter 10, didn’t check my son until day day 10 and he was negative then

Palavah · 22/12/2021 08:15

If testing negative on lat flow day 6 and 7, and if not symptomatic!
mnp321 · 22/12/2021 08:29

@HerbertChops

Both my DS tested negative day 4
Mine too.

Even with a positive LFT on day 11/12 you are still okay to go out; you don't need to isolate.
Yellow85 · 22/12/2021 08:35

About 5 days for me. Positive LTF and PCR Saturday, negative LTF Thurs morning. Thick dark lines for 3 days then fainter, then negative.

Stopped distancing from DH when they came back negative. He didn’t catch it.

UntamedShrew · 22/12/2021 08:38

Only positive for one day here, negative ever since. We could have so easily missed it.
