These are bookable from tomorrow. Does this mean from midnight tonight ? Really want to get a slot booked before New Year

Still none here.

Staffy1 · 20/12/2021 16:48

Our area is allowing them to go to walk in clinics now. Worth trying to see if you can do that.

DorotheaDiamond · 20/12/2021 17:39

Walk ins are ok but you have to be 12 weeks plus….

Seriously79 · 20/12/2021 17:52

I've tried to book today, but the closest one to us is about 50 miles away.

I thought we had to book them and that they weren't being done in school now 🤔

Madcats · 20/12/2021 17:57

So close....unlike our nearest appointments (Reading and Oxford). It's good to know that we can ATTEMPT to book in early January.

The people in charge of vaccine roll-out round here really hate making it easy and accessible.

The School vaccine service didn't get their act together round here so I doubt that they would reappear until mid-February.

No walk ins here for any age. It’s almost as if they don’t want people to get jabbed.

Round here there isn't walk ins, but the walk ins were getting queues of 3-4 hours, and this was causing knock on effects.

tootyfruitypickle · 20/12/2021 21:00

Oh arse is this going to make it even harder to get mine her first jab when her 3 months from covid are up on jan 3! Every time I look it's already a 30 mile journey !!

Hamjamwich · 20/12/2021 21:03

Can anyone in Sheffield advise please? Can't find a drop-in for 12-15 second dose (Pfizer) nearest is Wakefield.
And drop in centres are all for over 16

Have booked my ds2 today for 3 Jan when he's at 12 weeks and ds1 booster for the following week. Both reasonable times and at our local centres.

Hardtoknowwhat · 20/12/2021 23:02

Took 13 year old DD to local vaccination centre yesterday that take walk ins and booked appointments. They were happy to give her her second dose. We're in the North West and it's not been widely advertised but was definitely worth us popping in and asking.

EndoplasmicReticulum · 21/12/2021 11:17

Checked again today and our local site has been added. Think it's a matter of - if it's not there yet keep looking.

Hamjamwich · 21/12/2021 17:01

Still nothing bookable for Sheffield

Still no sign of anything bookabld within an hour's drive.

DH was in the pharmacy that did ours and checked whether they were planning to do kids.

Apparently they are only licensed to give boosters (so can't administer 1st or 2nd doses of the same stuff to anybody)!

They can be no more than 5 minutes' walk from a secondary with at least 1,000 12-15 year olds.

Who makes these rules, I wonder!

rainrainraincamedowndowndown · 22/12/2021 13:57

Just booked mid Jan for my dc13 for 2nd dose. Few near us to choose from, and all the apps are after 4 so they can go after school, quite impressed.

Hamjamwich · 23/12/2021 15:25

Found a drop in centre last night. Hope everyone is managing to find somewhere?
