Just that really. If you've been double vaccinated but tested positive for covid, what were your symptoms and how severe were they?

First runny nose and cough. 24 hours later weird taste—now gone. 47 hours later rigor/spiking temperature and fatigue.

oneglassandpuzzled · 07/11/2021 15:24

Can potter around but spent yesterday pm in bed. Resting this afternoon and watching a film. Have managed a little work but feel unable to concentrate hard.

Isolateykatey · 07/11/2021 15:25

None before positive test (close contact) then hacking cough, pounding head, horrible taste in mouth and then on day 3/4 lost of sense of smell and starting to slowly feel better.

TheTeenageYears · 07/11/2021 15:25

DD no symptoms

userxx · 07/11/2021 15:29

Just felt like a cold, bit wiped out and couldn't be arsed doing anything apart from watching killing eve on the sofa. It's only when I realised I couldn't smell/taste anything that I tested.

Rainydays55 · 07/11/2021 15:31

Started with a strange throat, that soon disappeared, really strange taste in my mouth for two days, turned into quite a heavy cold, sneezing lots, bad back ache, tired and little energy, on day 5 so far .

jenkel · 07/11/2021 15:49

started with what felt just like a cold but could function, day 4/5 felt worse, kept falling asleep, no energy, now on day 7 and think I’ve turned a corner. Still feel like a bad cold but a bit more energy, bit of a woozy head though, but done some light gardening, washing etc, back to functioning again, just a bit slower. But at no time did it feel anything other than a normal cold, no cough, no chest pains, no temp.

jenkel · 07/11/2021 15:50

Oh but can’t smell, taste ok.

Frustratedmummy79 · 07/11/2021 15:51

Tickly cough and loss of taste and smell. Not unwell, would normally have gone to work feeling like that. No worse than a normal cough

CouldThisReallyBe · 07/11/2021 15:55

Got positive PCR this morning after feeling 'coldy' since Wednesday. I was testing regularly to go to the office otherwise I wouldn't have considered Covid (no classic symptoms). This morning I noticed that my taste and smell are waning (but not gone altogether). I have a very slight cough. Day 4 today.

TreeLawney · 07/11/2021 16:05

Runny nose, slight cough (like needing to clear throat), uti symptoms, one night of a temperature & chills, brain fog. Basically a heavy cold.

Was perfectly able to carry on as normal pretty much (bar being stuck in the house) but finding a week after isolation finished that I’m still quite lacking in energy / a busy day takes a lot out of me.

TreeLawney · 07/11/2021 16:06

Oh and no taste & smell at all! Which has continued.

SchoolForScoundrels · 07/11/2021 16:07

Headache, runny nose and aching limbs - just felt like a cold. None of the three symptoms. Only tested as DD had the same and we did a test to be on the safe side.

Thebookswereherfriends · 07/11/2021 16:16

My partner had a bit of a cold - nothing too bad, but did a pcr and it’s come back positive. He’s just had a couple of days feeling a little sneezy, one day of intermittent coughing now feeling ok again. I’ve now got classic cold symptoms, but have done a pcr as it seems a cold can now be COVID.

newnameagain99 · 07/11/2021 16:20

Yesterday started with feeling slightly out of breath. Feel hot/cold. Headache and dry throat.
I tested yesterday as dc have tested positive this week. I had covid a year ago and am double jabbed. All my lateral flows have been negative this week.

BunsyGirl · 07/11/2021 16:20

Me: Tired, achey, sore throat, temperature on and off for eight days.

DH: bad cough, heavy cold symptoms, congestion, blocked ears. Temperature for a couple of days.

disconnecteddrifter · 07/11/2021 16:24

Hot cold. Clearing throat. Now a cough but not worst I have had. Super sore shoulder. Nausea, got taste and smell. Headache from hell. Struggling. Took cocodamol and feeling better. Day 1 for me

BertieBob · 07/11/2021 16:24

Headache, fever, snotty nose, sore throat and a cough. I felt ok on day 1, awful day 2-4. I spent most of the time asleep/crashed out on the sofa. Then steadily better every day, I'm in day 11 now and I'm fine providing I rest every now and again.

BertieBob · 07/11/2021 16:25

Oh and I lost my smell/taste about day 3. My taste is back about 50%. No smell whatsoever.

PurpleDaisies · 07/11/2021 16:27

Headache, sore throat and tiredness. I lost my sense of smell later and had a mild runny nose at times. I’m a week in and pretty much better now but there were a few days where I felt dreadful.

SophieHatterPendragon · 07/11/2021 16:29

Blocked sinuses and headache (mistook it for my monthly migraine), cough started off occasional but got worse over the week, temperature and loss of smell, chills and pains in my bones, complete loss of appetite and really fatigued

OneOfTheThree · 07/11/2021 17:54

Triple vaccinated but third dose only a week before I tested positive. Started with tickly throat and very occasional throat-clearing cough, then burning eyes and tiredness, and then alternating between random very painful aching legs and burning eyes. Temperature, one night of sweats with it, occasional cough, and lost sense of smell first and then taste has diminished. Very tired by the end of the day but managing.

RoseGoldEagle · 07/11/2021 17:55

Sore throat for a few days, then a few days of feeling achy, then loads of sneezing and runny nose. Not as bad as flu, worse than a normal cold for me. About 5 days of feeling a bit rubbish, then slowly back to normal.

Caaarrrl · 07/11/2021 18:01

I've felt awful for 2 weeks. Stomach pains, vomiting, muscle aches, exhaustion, severe head aches, earache, no smell or taste. Now dizzy, short of breath when walking short distances, still got brain fog.

Dread to think how it would have been without vax.

Caaarrrl · 07/11/2021 18:02

And fever and cough.
