Sorry! I should have said "covid test". But if it was a pregnancy test I'd be getting excited! (if I was trying)

Negative PCR 🤷🏼‍♀️

I’m having the exact same issue!!! I’m a teacher so lateral flow regularly and in the past ten days I’ve had three very faintly positive lateral flows but then three negative pcr tests?! Rang 119 and they say they’ve had a few incidents of this happening but can’t explain why. All the lat flows are from different boxes so not a faulty batch, and other family members have been negative. I’m at a loss as to what to do (and slightly worried as to what IS wrong with me if it’s not covid!)

All the evidence suggests that it's v.v. Rare to get a false positive lateral flow but it doesn't seem so! There's something up somewhere. I've done another lft and faint positive again.

I had positive pcr on Monday but negative lateral tests Thursday and Saturday before and still testing negative everyday since wed . What’s that about ?

PoppityBoo are you me? I started a thread yesterday about the very same thing. I had 3 positives and DH had 1 but we both had negative PCRs.

What's more likely to be wrong, the lfts or the PCRs though? PCRs currently trump LFTs so at the moment I'm free to roam around as I please. I don't feel at ease with this when the LFT is picking up something. But I also can't stay in isolation when there's every chance I don't have it (I also have no major covid symptoms).

A friend had a positive lateral flow on Sunday, went for a PCR that day which came back negative. He did another lateral flow on Monday morning, which was also positive. Went for a PCR that day which then came back positive. If you are still getting positive lateral flows, I'd probably go for another PCR.

I didn't have any obvious symptoms until after the positive LFT. Now I think about it, I had a headache and leg ache for a couple of days, but with negative PCR and negative LFTs twice a day, I had to keep going to work.

It was only a matter of time before I got it in my opinion. I was planning accordingly at work - photocopying everything for this week, writing out my timetable properly for a supply teacher etc, wearing a mask around other adults (not allowed to in my class though).
