Feeling pretty miserable, is there anything else I can do?

Tested positive on Monday but I have been ill with toncillitis/cold since 28th Sept
Negative PCR/lateral flows until Monday

Plenty of fluids (although I am a bit dehydrated), not getting out of bed, cocodamol,

No major appetite but I can occasionally eat

My temperature comes in waves so either I'm roasting hot or freezing! Got a sore tummy/headache/earache my skin is sore to touch

I have a little oxygen meter so I'm keeping an eye on that

What else can I do for myself

Sorry you're feeling unwell, that sounds horrible.

I would be careful taking cocodamol regularly and stick to paracetemol only. If you're dehydrated anyway, that could make you very constipated.

Plenty of regular fluids is good.

Remembering to drink is annoying! But I have the family reminding me

Paracetamol doesn't really work for me

Feeling sorry for myself especially as I'd avoided it for so long!

Wow! I am having vivid and complicated dreams

Building whole worlds where the events happen

Some making more sense than others - I sew - so a innovative zip design in the 1850s kind of feeds into my brain but why oh why did I build a football school for deprived children in the middle East for Martin Rasford (not even sure that's his name)

Sounds like you've got it covered: rest, drink, distraction. If there are any box sets you've been meaning to binge now would be a good time.

No I can't watch telly or play on mn for more than 5/10 mins at a time, my brain goes woozy!

Can't even bloody read!

Doing a lot of lying in a dark room not moving...Grin

Look up some old threads on here about people who experienced Coronavirus. Think they were called 'my lungs are on fire' or something like that. It's reassuring to read about others going through the same thing. Other than that, rest, fluids and soup.

Katy I was like this at the start of the week. On day 7 now and altho still bedridden at least could watch some tv from about day four. 💐

This is day 6 and I feel disorientated! Like I'm in a bubble slightly out of sync with the world
The dreams are killing me - so detailed! So bizarre!

I found that I felt better if I was propped up rather than lying down. Not sure if that might help? I wasn't as poorly as you, though, as I was able to binge watch box sets and found them a good distraction.

A lot of people told me to take high doses of vitamin c and vitamin d, which I usually do in any case. I have no idea if they actually help, might just be a myth/placebo, but I was surprised by how many people suggested it!

Oh, and please do keep an eye on your oxygen and don't hesitate to get medical advice if you need it...better to be on the safe side!

Also, don't take co codamol for more than a very few days, as it is addictive!!

I have been taking co codamol sporadically for over 10 years I'm pretty sure I'm safe - I can take it for several weeks regularly then not at all for months
I wonder if it has caused the dreams - it never has before

I have a big triangular pillow I sleep on propped up and my oxygen is mainly 92-94

That oxygen seems quite low, OP? I'm no expert, but mine is usually around 97-99 and never really went below 95 even during the worst bit of covid. Might be worth seeking some advice?

Agree with above. 92-94 is speak to your gp or 111 territory. Please call them tonight before you deteriorate further. They can prescribe you steroid tablets that will help.

Guys I'm ok I promise - checked again and its upto 96 most of the time now

Sorry I fell asleep

I'm 53 double vaccinated and surprisingly feeling better all of a sudden

My bmi is about 26

My biggest health issues are low blood pressure, CFS & FM

I was told honey and lemon in a big jug and sip through the day. Also kept an eye on my oxygen levels. I think it depends what your normal levels are as well though.

Diffusing essential oils helped me last time and is helping me this time, too. Peppermint, eucalyptus and citrus oils are my favourite.
