Just wondering how they managed? My son is due his 2 days before mock gcses and really hoping side effects are none to little. I've seen some hubs are doing this age so I may try to arenage this instead.

No, was supposed to be a couple of weeks ago but postponed, we weren't told why.

DrDreReturns · 19/10/2021 21:31

My 15 year old had it on Saturday. He's had no side effects at all.

RhinestoneCowgirl · 19/10/2021 21:33

DS had his yesterday and DD today, both have slightly sore arms but no other side effects yet. DS is y11 and has mocks after half term, and I'm glad it's out of the way before that.

14 year old twins had theirs 3 weeks ago. One was fine after, the other was quite poorly and needed a few days off school to recover. She had an issue with palpitations for a few days, but it much better now

Longdistance · 19/10/2021 21:34

Dd12 had hers not long after her birthday. Hertfordshire. Dd had a sore arm for a few days, nothing else.

megletthesecond · 19/10/2021 21:35

14yo DS had his 3 weeks ago. Slightly sore arm but I gave him some paracetamol and he bravely struggled through playing fortnite the next day.

CeeceeBloomingdale · 19/10/2021 21:35

My 14yo had it last week. She had a slightly sore arm and slight headache but nothing major

EmmaGellerGreen · 19/10/2021 21:36

My 13 year old had it 2 weeks ago. A bit of a sore arm but otherwise perfectly fine.

cheninblanc · 19/10/2021 21:46

Yes my 15 year old had it and although she had a headache she was back to self after a day

Mistlewoeandwhine · 19/10/2021 21:50

No as both have Covid.

DumplingsAndStew · 19/10/2021 22:53

DC 13 had it on the 2nd October. Sore arm for the next 24 hours max, not even needing painkillers. Pleasantly surprised.

Tatum1234 · 19/10/2021 22:54

It was postponed twice then he caught Covid instead so has not had it yet. My 16yo has though and was fine, no side effects at all.

Finals1234 · 19/10/2021 22:55

My two had it and both were pretty I'll afterwards with flu like symptoms for 2 days. I would suggest moving it away from gcse dates if at all possible.

Branleuse · 19/10/2021 22:56

Mine have both had theirs with no side effects

Hoptoit1 · 19/10/2021 23:04

Dc 2 & 3 had theirs last week one had no effects the other headache, nausea, temp, ached for about 12 hours.

Bonkerz · 19/10/2021 23:06

Dd15 had hers at school 10 days ago. Apart from a sore ache in her arm for a few hours she was fine.

TippledPink · 19/10/2021 23:06

DD14 had it a few weeks ago, was really ill, fever, chills, had to get her from school. DS15 hasn't heard a thing. I would not want them to have it 2 days before Mocks.

Timeisavirtue · 19/10/2021 23:14

Yep DS 13 had it last Monday... no side affect other than a sore arm which cleared up pretty quickly.

Timeisavirtue · 19/10/2021 23:15

McFarts · 19/10/2021 23:19

DS12 had his first jab almost 8 weeks ago, no side effects other than a sore arm. He's booked to have his 2nd this Friday, my fingers are crossed he doesnt with the 2nd one either.

3asAbird · 20/10/2021 05:18

Mine is scheduled for November but reassuring to know that there's no negative side effects.
Just wish they could have 2
