DD positive on LFT

DD has come back positive on a LFT. She's only 7. .everyone else is negative.

PCR tests have been ordered but what are the chances DDs test is a false positive? I'm really hoping she doesn't actually have it

I've tested positive on LFTs for the past 6 days! 2 negative PCRs though... I'm going to do one last postal one and go with that result. Something strange is definitely happening with the tests. I called 119 today and they took my barcodes and read me a statement saying things are being looked into. They said they don't think it's a problem with the tests themselves.. so advice is for every positive LFT follow up with a PCR.

@mamatro yeah I've already ordered PCRs but it's looking like she has it. Poor girl. We're all masked up, her brothers staying away from her and I'm disinfecting everything she touches to try and limit the spread

Just to give you some reassurance. My 7 year old DD had Covid in the summer and the only symptom she had was a slightly altered taste for a couple of days. Often kids are asymptomatic.

Op can you ring a friend and ask them to drop off a pack of LFTs? Might be worth seeing if they all come up as positive?

@Biscuitsneeded unfortunately I'm autistic and don't really have friends and thenones I do live in different cities.

Always follow up postive lft with pcr.
