Wondering if anyone hasn’t been tested for covid yet?

I haven’t done a single test since the start of the pandemic and some people find it strange I haven’t. Surely can’t be the only one? Haven’t done lateral flow or PCR…

DS1 and I haven't had a need. He has ASD so I will only violently assault him with a swab if absolutely neccessary. We're talking about the kind of child who missed half of his brother's birthday party in a 90 min meltdown over brushing teeth.

I loathe masks so until a couple of months ago swerved places where they were needed and instead did shopping late in the evening so I could shop in peace without being freaked out by a mass of disembodied eyes or fear being berated by the self-appointed Covid police, with the added bonus of reduced transmission risk. Win win. Much of what I do is outdoors and low risk. I haven't got close contact with vulnerable people, so it's not been worth gratuitously triggering a sensitive gag reaction. I haven't had any symptoms to make testing necessary.

I did a LFT on DS2, he was slightly under the weather as an outbreak occured in the summer term, but his class ended up isolated anyway so there was no benefit to a PCR as both DCs were stuck under house arrest and me to supervise them anyway.

DH LFTed before visiting a vulnerable relative in hospital and occasionally has to for site visits/ events. His office is still near empty.

We're living something recognisably normally, but it's relatively low risk and not worth the waste and difficulties of gratutitous testing. Actual symptoms would be a different matter but fortunately that hasn't arisen yet.

I did a lateral flow as a condition of entry to a sporting event before I was vaccinated. That's it. The kids have never been tested.

Living life normally - it’s nose only as I hate the throat ones. I’ve done 2 this week already - one last fri as a friend wanted me to as we were meeting up and one yesterday as felt a bit coldy but was prob post-flu jab symptoms.
I’ve done 2 pcrs - both negative.
