If you have had period changes after being vaccinated will you be having the booster?

I had my first vaccine in Feb . Second in April (Pfizer) and had almost constant bleeding after the second vaccination.

I’m a front line worker so have been called to have a booster vaccination but I really don’t want it . Well I think I don’t .

I am worried about the changes it made to my menstrual cycle and the long term implications of this , which are unknown because there is not any research into it . I’m 36 and I am planning on having another baby soon and I am concerned about the impact on my fertility because of the side effects I have experienced.

I have had a smear and ultrasound investigation as well as bloods etc done which are all apparently normal so my GP doesn’t know what else could have caused my symptoms really.

Sorry for the waffle but if you have had period changes post vaccine will you be having the booster?
@Popkids yeah agree. They didn't test these substances to see what effect they had on female hormones. Now it seems they are having an effect on female hormones, but as ever we're told it's all in our heads. Female hormones affect all sorts of body systems in women. Our bodies are regulated by them. It's like that doesn't even matter.
Pretty sure there were women in the trials….

OP as you’re front line and therefore at higher risk of catching covid if you’re not going to have the booster I’d seriously consider putting off TTC due to the dangers of covid in pregnancy. Maybe see through the winter when hopefully numbers will be right down again.

Opposite here, was already peri meno and periods of 18-45 day cycles. Since second jab (AZ) no period at all. Longest ever by months which is a weird ‘coincidence’.

No changes here

Oh yes I’m definitely not actively TTC - not in a pandemic! Im just conscious that I do want another child in the future and so worried about the possible side effects !

I've had off the scale bleeding since my second aZ jab, currently on day 35 of bleeding despite now being on Provera for a fortnight to make it stop. Before my jabs I would bleed for 4 days every 28 days as regularly as clockwork.

I'm CEV so probably going to have my 3rd jab but still undecided.

my perimenopausal symptoms got significantly worse after my second vaccination (AZ) which I had at the end of March, along with odd periods. To the point that my quality of life, and ability to do my job (NHS senior clinican) was severely impacted. Things have really only begun improving since August. I will defintiely not be having a booster just yet. (and I am not at all anti vax, but I have read and considered a lot of scientific peer reviewed papers, studies and other info and imo for me the possible, and as yet not researched or understood, risks outweigh the possible benfits of a booster.

yes, I had changes to my periods (I assumed for a long time this was because of my age rather than the vaccine) but yes I will have a booster as CEV
