I had the Pfizer 7 days a go, had usual headaches sorry arm, but now I have this unbelievable dizziness/lightheaded like I'm drunk! I know this is the side affects as I've never had this before! I feel like I've got a full head like when you get blocked ears on a flight.
Or I'm swaying like on a rocky boat!
I will admit I don't drink enough water, maybe I need to up that.
I'm trying my best to get on with me I feel like I'm spinning out for most of my day.
I'm single parent too and have no one to help
Look after my kids so I have to be ok ! Is my GP worth speaking to as I doubt they will agree it's vaccine related!
Has anyone else had this ? What's helped u or cured it ? Thankyou x

speak to your gp they can give you tablets. Might be labrynthitis.

I get vertigo, it's awful.

pureofmind · 23/09/2021 19:23

Thanks, I feel like my gp will
Fob me off as I have health anxiety, can you really get these illnesses/conditions from the the side affects from vaccine ? Thanks xx

labrynthitis is a virus.

pureofmind · 23/09/2021 19:31

@kimlo thanks x

Lots of viruses cause dizziness. It’s unlikely to be the vaccine, probably a coincidence.

Dizziness is horrible. I have dodgy ears & am prone to it. Could well be labrynthitis or an ear infection (which are usually vital & no treatment unfortunately). Could be an imbalance in your ears caused by a minor infection.

In the meantime, get yourself some travel sickness tablets. Sturgeon are the best for me. Really helps with the dizziness!

FatAnkles · 23/09/2021 19:47

I got terrible vertigo two days after my second jab. I couldn't stand up without feeling sick and dizzy. Not great for my job. I took three days off to get over it.

JS87 · 23/09/2021 19:56

It is a relatively common side effect. Look on the vestibular forum. It could be a vestibular migraine or some other unknown mechanism such as elevated histamine levels in the ear. I would recommend travel sickness tablets (certain antihistamines) and also eating a low histamine diet for a while to help reduce histamine levels. Also take at least 1g vitamin c a day as that also reduces histamine.

JS87 · 23/09/2021 19:57

When I say relatively common it’s still rare (less than one in 100, maybe much less than that) but given the number of people vaccinated has been reported quite often.

agnesmartin · 23/09/2021 21:23

I had dizziness and nausea / vertigo when I had Covid - and I had a horrible headache plus the vertigo for a day about a week after my vaccine. Hadn't heard about histamine being an issue. It still happens occasionally (3 weeks post covid) so will bear that in mind. Thank you JS87

Sallydimebar · 23/09/2021 23:29

Not saying it’s not a side effect of vaccine , but I had this out of the blue . Gp did bloods which showed low iron I would definitely speak to gp.

I had dizziness/ vertigo after both jabs, felt a bit odd for about two to three weeks. It passed, and I'm sure it will for you too Flowers

Have a look here under ear disorders

Bobholll · 25/09/2021 08:31

It honestly sounds like lybrinthitis OP. It’s a bloody awful illness with unfortunately, no treatment. It just gets better over time. Anti sickness will help & do get the travel sickness tablets.

Has your GP actually seem you to check for an ear infection?

Bobholll · 25/09/2021 08:36

Either way OP, whether it was caused by the vaccine or an infection, you just need to treat it as best you can. There is nothing that can really be done about either unless it’s an infection treatable with antibiotics.

Rest. Get help with your kids as much as you can. Take the pills. Drink a shed load of water. It will get better but ear infections & imbalances are frustrating, they can take a while to get better ☹️

Cantspeakpublic · 25/09/2021 09:28

I had this. It was the vaccine and i had exactly the same and only after the first!
It went Angerer around 3 weeks so it will go.
Please be careful as I nearly had a bad car accident due to brain fog.
Rest and it will go! Xx

I think iron is used to make antibodies.

Turquoisesea · 25/09/2021 09:42

A friend of mine has had vertigo for 10 weeks after the Astra Zeneca jab and is still off work. It started the day after her 2nd jab so definitely related. She is waiting for a referral to an ENT specialist. She has never suffered from vertigo previously.

Cantspeakpublic · 25/09/2021 09:44

Went around 3 weeks silly auto correct!

Cantspeakpublic · 25/09/2021 09:45

One of the reasons my 12 year old not getting it but that’s another thread ☺️
I had all sorts of problems!

kimlo · 25/09/2021 10:43

is it prochlorperazine you have been given?

It really does help. Thats what I take when I'm having a meneires attack.

pureofmind · 25/09/2021 11:20

The doctor said it's either bvvp or labrynthitis and to take the tabs. I need to fight this off. If it is labrynthitis and it's viral which not even a doctor told me it defo is then I'm Lookin into a IV vitamin C treatment to help
