Yes, I think so based on everyone's symptoms varying so much. And if it's unusual for you

WeRTheOnesWeHaveBeenWaitingFor · 29/07/2021 16:17

Yes

Katie517 · 29/07/2021 16:37

If you mean it went for an hour and now is back no I wouldn’t

yoursfroobly · 29/07/2021 16:39

Yes. That was my sons only symptom, he couldn't taste my chicken pie at dinner 😆 but the taste came back the next morning

IceCreamAndCandyfloss · 29/07/2021 17:05

Yes, never had loss of taste with any bug so I would test.

Pootle40 · 29/07/2021 17:08

God no. Where does this all stop? Sneeze twice in an hour and test. Jesus.

Lottie4 · 29/07/2021 17:11

No, I'd wait a bit longer. If your taste isn't back this evening, then I'd book a test for tomorrow.

How exactly does it affect you if the op tests? Except for the op isolating so less chance you will catch it?

Op, it’s a symptom, you should test.

Intherightplace · 29/07/2021 17:15

There's no hardship in testing. I think we're at a point now that if you wonder then yes, you should test.

I didn't lose my sense of taste, but my sense of smell disappeared absolutely completely for a few hours.

Why are you so angry?

For an hour? No.

AddsVsGeorgs · 29/07/2021 17:19

@Pootle40

And this is why people are spreading it

More like this is why people are going insane. We need a reality check here.

My point was this hyper awareness of every single thing. So if I had a temp that lasted 30 minutes should I get a PCR test? I don't know anyone in real life who would ever do this!

Loss of taste / smell is a recognised symptom of Covid, everyone I know would get tested , even my ds and his mates. No wonder it's spreading if people minimise it.

MrsPelligrinoPetrichor · 29/07/2021 17:30

And of you have a temp yes you should get tested, of COURSE you should.

One that lasted 30 minutes - are you for real?
MrsPelligrinoPetrichor · 29/07/2021 18:31

The people I know who have had Covid either had temps on and off for a week or just a slightly raised one . Why does it matter if it's just for 30 mins? A temp is a temp and that's something that you should test for. Why does it bother you so much, how does it affect you if someone tests ?

sleepwouldbenice · 29/07/2021 18:34

That's how long the temp lasted in my daughter's friend
Tested positive
As my daughter was due to see her Then unvaccinated grandparents I was grateful she tested.... funny that

That doesn’t even make sense as sneezing isn’t one of the main symptoms 🤷‍♀️
