Just that really, hopefully we can get something last minute this year but as travel rules change daily I've given up looking for the time being.

But what about next summer, anyone booking?

I’m moving my 2020 holiday, that became my 2021 holiday to 2022!
I think we could probably go this year but I can’t be doing with the stress of ever changing rules

Sugarandtime · 22/07/2021 11:32

I’ve already booked my UK holiday for next year before the inevitable price increases.

Daisyhoney · 22/07/2021 11:41

We've got two holidays booked for next year - a week in the UK in the summer and a fortnight cruise in September ( belated honeymoon after last year's cruise got cancelled ).

PinkSparklyPussyCat · 22/07/2021 11:43

I've booked 2 UK holidays for 2022 and moving my holiday abroad to 2023. I'm not spending a fortune to have it ruined by having to wear a mask and I didn't want to wait and see what happens as all the best UK holidays will be gone by that point

Wellbythebloodyhell · 22/07/2021 11:46

Already booked for end of August next year hoping travel is easier by then

Vanillaradio · 22/07/2021 11:52

Just had our leave confirmed for August 2022 so the plan is to get something booked in the next couple of weeks. Definitely looking to book abroad.

Mumdiva99 · 22/07/2021 11:53

We booked for 2022 - we want(ed) to go abroad - but as it is still likely to be backed up with this years and last years holiday goers taking delayed breaks we decided to stay in the UK and book now to get a good choice of accommodation. We might still go abroad later on - if the prices aren't silly.....but might not.

frozendaisy · 22/07/2021 12:09

We have no interest in UK holidays done the UK to within an inch of it's life and want Mediterranean coastal for a couple of years until we can cross the Atlantic.

Still hoping for Mediterranean coastal this year. It's the hope that kills you eh!

Already booked, needed something to look forward to

Emcont · 22/07/2021 13:02

Our two week holiday to Mallorca in 2020 got moved to this year. Then we decided to postpone it to next year and add an extra week to make up for it. Fingers crossed!

FizziWater · 22/07/2021 15:34

I booked a few UK short breaks this year in case we couldn't go abroad. I now regret not booking a full week away.
TBH I can see problems next year as well so I am currently looking at booking summer 2022 UK holidays. If by chance we can go abroad next year I will go spring / autumn.

newnortherner111 · 22/07/2021 15:45

I have some ideas in mind, and an event I hope to go to in September 2022 (the ticket is the only committed expense).

ZombeaArthur · 22/07/2021 15:47

Our May 2021 trip to Spain was pushed back by a year, so we do have a holiday planned for next year. No idea whether it will go ahead, but we’re hopeful.

Willwebebuyingnumber11 · 22/07/2021 15:49

We’ve booked a week in St Ives, 10 nights in Greece & 3 weeks in Barbados next year. I really hope they come off 🤞🏼🤞🏼

Pootle40 · 22/07/2021 15:52

I went abroad this Summer so hoping to do so again next year !

AfternoonToffee · 22/07/2021 15:53

I'll be booking next year in a couple of weeks when I get back from this year's. Same place, just need to make sure it is not GCSE results week.

mrsrichardsglasses · 22/07/2021 15:54

I'm trying to, but the prices seem to have already shot up so struggling to find somewhere we can afford!

NatMoz · 22/07/2021 15:57

Assuming all goes to plan we will have a 6 month baby in June next year so have just booked a week in Salcombe and have a week planned in Aug/Sept in St Ives!

And next year UK are filling up fast Shock

olivethegreat · 22/07/2021 16:02

I was just thinking about this. I can't be bothered to book even a UK one next year. On tenterhooks as it is about our one on Monday and whether we'll get track traced before or during our stay.

We're an easy train into London and an easy drive to the coast so I think next summer I will just take those days out on my time off, unless things radically change. I think it might be a few years though before tests and isolation go for holidays and I'm going to wait it out now .

DazedandConcerned · 22/07/2021 16:04

I’m booked for Christmas 2021 in Egypt. I also have Ibiza and Egypt booked for 2022.

I have been on holiday three times during the pandemic. July 2020 to Rhodes, December 2020 to Hurghada and July 2021 to Ibiza.

INeedtobealone · 22/07/2021 16:05

We've booked flights to Malaga for May half term next year, waiting for the villas to be available for 2022.

Also booked a cottage on the Isle of Wight.

Hopefully will have a city break in October half term.

CreamFirstThenJamOnTop · 22/07/2021 16:20

We’ve booked a 3 week cruise & fly for October 2022….. fingers crossed!

Tatum1234 · 22/07/2021 16:43

We have Florida booked for next year, rearranged from April 2020 to July 2021 then April 2022. Will rearrange again if we have to.

99victoria · 22/07/2021 16:57

We came back from Greece a couple of weeks ago. Before we left we booked for next summer.

olivethegreat · 22/07/2021 17:05

See what does attract me is places being quieter . I visited the Middle East just after the Iraqi air strikes and had quite a unique experience without the crowds, was just recalling Petra deserted on another thread.

I'd like to go to cities - Rome for eg. On a full package though as that seems to be recommended.

Are places noticeably quieter or is it like Cornwall here now everyone is holidaying at home ?
