2nd AZ jab Friday morning the worst headache of my life since should I be concerned?

As title says 2nd AZ jab 8am Friday since mid afternoon Friday I’ve had the worst migraine/headache I’ve ever experienced. I can barely lift my head off the pillow because of the pain, vomiting and head feels like someone has taken a hammer to the back and top of my head continuously. I also have neck pain and a bit of neck stiffness, I am worried about blood clots but everything online says the headache for that starts after 4 days. I have taken 2 30mg codiene 500mg paracetamol prescriptions tablets every 4 hours and they are not touching it.

I had the same sort of thing after second AZ jab, took 3 days for it to start, then sudden vomiting, awful headache, wiped out tired, and bizarrely, teeth aching badly ( every tooth in my head felt they were loose)
It spoiled a weekend away, could only eat soft food and mouth was very sore for about a week. This was 3 weeks ago.
Had another migraine yesterday, and sore mouth again, better today.

Definitely not having any other booster jab, as I was really poorly for a week in April after the 1st AZ jab, unable to eat, could barely stand etc, then the “lost weekend” after the 2nd AZ jab
It obviously doesn’t suit me🤷‍♀️

Oh god your poor thing. Hideous. I had terrible headache after my 2nd. Had blood tests at surgery. They sent me straight to a and e. Thankfully it was fine just a migraine, despite the d dimer count being high.

I’m definitely not an anti-Vaxxer and was quite keen to be jabbed - even after being poorly following the first jab… but after the side-effects of this 2nd jab, I’m out!! I’m finding the headaches quite scary. I usually have maybe a couple of migraine-type headaches a year but I’ve had several since this 2nd jab and they've just ruined this weekend too. Just lay on the sofa in the dark, dozing, next to a just-in-case sick bowl.😟

@BoysTownGang have you spoken to a doctor about your headaches? Might be best to get checked out just in case, as bad headaches are one of the symptoms to look out for post- AZ vaccination.

Have any of you who have also suffered awful headaches / migraines reported these side effects to the Yellow Card website? The medics / researchers etc need to know about this. I did it yesterday - very easy.

Thank you for your concern, it has been a horrible experience😱

My doctors have a very clear “locked door” policy and hardly ever answer the phone so it would be A+E or nothing!!
I had researched the symptoms, so knew it was 99% likely to be a side effect of AZ so I just waited it out.
Absolutely no way am I being jabbed again though!!

Side effects should be reported on the yellow card site, there's a lot of very worrying stuff on there now.

Hi, sorry for the delay in the update been crazy last week or so with the school holidays.
I am fully recovered now thank you @AvaGardener after 5 days in hospital. The headache was caused be a swelling in the back of head/neck which was a side effect to my 2nd vaccine. The pain was nothing like I have ever felt before it was and would go as far as saying child birth was a walk in the park compared to this headache.

Probably not vaccine related as too soon, but definitely get checked. Try 900mg of aspirin, too much codeine can make headaches worse.

FFS @Spaghettipie1, please don’t offer terrible advice around medication when you clearly don’t know what you are talking about. Fortunately it is irrelevant now. Glad you are recovered OP.
