If you think cases are exploding and vaccines are ineffective, what’s to be done?

I see a number of posters are keen to draw attention to a huge rise in cases, plus new variants coming in too. They are also eager to point out vaccine failure.

I would be interested to know what their personal view is of our medium to long-term prospects. If no end is in sight and vaccines do not work, do they foresee societal collapse?

The average cold is contagious for 5 days.
Most people get 3 colds a year.
No way do German workers take 15 days sick a year for colds.

For every article/coverage on the increased transmissibility and spread of Delta, there needs to be hardcore emphasis on how efficacious vaccines are and the need for equitable global distribution.

For the fear-mongering folks who continue to shit on vaccines - do better.

vaccines work

We had an outbreak at my dds school last month. School acted quickly but still many families affected. I have been v ill with the delta variant despite having had my first vaccination and being a very fit runner. Several parents in the same boat- 1 jab in and totally felled. Worst thing is the total loss of taste and smell- so demoralising.

On another thread there are posters gleefully (and I WILL use that word, because they really do seem excited by it) leaping on the fact that double vaccinated have contracted covid. I guess they don’t actually want a solution or end at all.

This is worrying that vaccine protection depends what jab you got

Boosters needed in the Autumn, most likely.

Doing this at the same time as vaccinating children will be a logistical nightmare.

Outbreaks in schools that started with a few kids and resulted in over 30 kids testing positive during isolation.
Is the answer to end isolating school kids? 😬
