AFAIK, the situation in Israel differs from the UK in that
a) They haven't previously had Delta.
b) They vaccinated with Pfizer using the originally recommended 3 week gap between doses, while we moved to the extended gap.
c) They only vaccinated with Pfizer while we used Pfizer and AZ, which may, or may not, have different characteristics with regards to immunity, length of immunity and resistance to one strain or another.
Oxford University seems to be finding good antibodies following AZ vaccination a year later and better antibody response with a longer gap between doses. This is AZ; I haven't come across similar research into Pfizer.
Delta seems better at evading immunity as regards causing infections, but vaccination seems to be providing good protection against severe illness, hospitalisation and death.
