Ah, thank you!
plinkplinkfizzer · 10/06/2021 16:33

Can you not ask to change title to be clearer what you are talking about ? The article is in the Mirror . Monkey pox .

AnyFucker · 10/06/2021 16:33

JellyBabiesFan · 10/06/2021 16:51

What? Like a box for monkeys?

Surely that is cruelty.

borntobequiet · 10/06/2021 17:01

I thought you meant Moneybox, the R4 programme. Maybe with advice on furlough or mortgages in Covid times or something.

bombis · 10/06/2021 17:06

All these alpha beta deltas and bacterial resistant tb and monkey pox. It's going to be fast

BIWI · 10/06/2021 17:06

I'll have a pint of what you're having

Charliebradbury · 10/06/2021 17:07

It's like 2 cases in North Wales and it was contracted abroad. I live in North Wales and I can honestly say I am not concerned. It's usually mild like chickenpox and risk of spread is low. And it's not the first time this has happened.

LuckyWookie · 10/06/2021 17:07

Monkeypox is not a serious illness. It’s like a mild version of chickenpox and it clears up by itself. Stop scaremongering.

Chatterbox1987 · 10/06/2021 17:13

I only wrote on here the other day that I will only be a matter of time before the headlines of other dangerous new diseases come out.. this sort if thing happens constantly even before covid. . Its a non issue. Hancock mentioned it to dodge questions about the poor handling of this pandemic.

Lougle · 10/06/2021 17:15

2 people from the same family have contracted a disease that is known to exist in the place they visited, then returned home. This is not new and it isn't news.

Cornettoninja · 10/06/2021 17:18

Fuck me, don’t get carried away with the cheery side of life will you?

MyBossIsATwat · 10/06/2021 17:25

Monkey pox sounds kind of cute to me. Like little spots that look like lemur faces or something.

This is in my area, and my colleagues were involved in the transfer of these patients. Pretty much everyone's response was limited to "I saw it on the intranet and assumed it was in Swansea or Cardiff, who'd have thought it would be in *** town!" and then carried on with our shifts as normal.

We're all pretty sh*t hot at PPE and infection control these days thanks to covid, so none of us have turned into monkeys yet.

That's not true. It has a 10% fatality rate.

This! A friend works in a similar area and was saying how well and quickly not was dealt with. That all they needed was for lazy, headline hunting journos to fuck off and everyone would be fine
