Hooray!

I've had AZ both times and under 40 but not concerned. I reacted quite badly to the first and was in bed for a few days. Did anyone have less of a reaction to the second jab? I'm going to see my dad for the first time in a year on Friday and really want to be on form.

Congratulations! I also had AZ but was lucky, very small reaction to #1 (had it in the morning, felt very tired in the evening, fine the next morning) and really nothing to #2. Age may be a factor. For once being a bit older seems to be a help (I'm late 50s).

I had my second last weekend and it took a while to sink in that I am now relatively safe. I didn’t have any reactions to the vaccine, apart from sleeping well for a few days.

DotsandCo · 02/06/2021 17:25

Had my second AZ jab on Monday. No reaction at all...not even a sore arm! I was quite poorly after the first one...really unwell for a week! Horrendous headache and fever, sickness and an awful out of body sensation, so was hoping for a better experience this time. Very happy to report that I'm fine and well 👍

DotsandCo · 02/06/2021 17:26

Oh...I'm late 50s.

Mjstjs · 02/06/2021 17:27

My DH was quite unwell with his first but absolutely fine with his second OP. He is mid 30s and had it for work. He had Az.

I had more a reaction to my second after none with my first but that was Pfizer. Nothing bad but very achey arm and swollen lymph nodes.
Just feel very relieved to be double jabbed.

chickenyhead · 02/06/2021 17:28

Had my second AZ yesterday too! Yay.

Anyone having doubts, they handed out the attached, it might help.

Second jab done! 🎉

Had 2nd yesterday. Was quite feverish and then very tired for 24 hours after the 1st, nada so far with this so hoping it stays like that.

Aquamarine1029 · 02/06/2021 17:33

I had my second Moderna yesterday. First shot my arm was sore and I felt kind of hungover/spacey the next day. With the second, which I had at 1pm, I got a headache around 10pm, followed quickly by horrible nausea. They both lasted for about 3 or 4 hours and then they were gone. I feel a bit off today, with a slight lingering headache, but nothing awful at all.

JorisBonson · 02/06/2021 17:34

This is good news, I want to enjoy my weekend, unlike the first one were I only saw my bed!

I spent the afternoon in bed after my first, second one was a non event apart from achy arm.

Peppapeg · 02/06/2021 17:35

I felt fine after the second one, although didn't get a sticker :(

YippeeKiYay155 · 02/06/2021 17:41

Well done! I'm 4 weeks post my first AZ jab so have got a bit of a wait for my 2nd yet.

SirVixofVixHall · 02/06/2021 17:42

I’ve just had my second, my arm is hurting more than the first time, faint headache. Hoping like you OP that I am not as ill as last time, I was rough for a week .

kimlo · 02/06/2021 17:43

I was much better after my second and the amount of time I felt off was shorter.

DotsandCo · 02/06/2021 17:49

@Peppapeg

I felt fine after the second one, although didn't get a sticker :(

I got two stickers! I'll send you one 👍

Whippet · 02/06/2021 17:52

Had my second yesterday. Was a bit fluey for 24 hours after the 1st, but with this one - absolutely nothing. Arm possibly a bits sensitive if I press it!
I feel strangely 'light' in my mood now - like I've done everything I can to protect myself and am ready to slowly reintegrate into society Grin

AlmondFlat · 02/06/2021 18:22

My second was much better as well

sleepwouldbenice · 02/06/2021 18:32

Fine for myself , my dh and everyone I know on their second, other than mild tiredness

NicoleKidmanSuperFan · 02/06/2021 18:38

My second one was 17 days ago and so far it’s been uneventful. Nothing at all. Congratulations

RoSEbuds6 · 02/06/2021 18:38

I had mine yesterday and feel crap today - shivery, achey and freezing cold. 27 degrees and I’m in my winter tracksuit. Hopefully will be over by tomorrow, the effects of my first jab only lasted 8 hours.

AlmostSummer21 · 02/06/2021 18:41

Had AZ as did all my friends & most of my extended family - not one of us had even a minor ache after the second

I hope you have a lovely time with your dad

Don't forget it's 21 days before you have most of your immunity.

DarceyDashwood · 02/06/2021 19:37

I felt rough for 48 hours after my first AZ and a very sore arm. After my second I had a slightly sore arm for 24 hours and that was it!

motogogo · 02/06/2021 20:02

Had mine yesterday too, got a sore arm

bebarkered · 02/06/2021 20:10

Miles less of a reaction to the second vaccine OP😁😁

Sonata13 · 02/06/2021 20:15

Second jab, zero side effects.
So happy ☺.
Totally different from first jab and endless exhaustion.
Glad it's all over.
