Sounds like it porridge, my nearest is packington/arc centre and that wasn't an option

MsMeNz · 12/05/2021 18:25

Yup just booked in main NHS website I'm 38 says forties still. My brother is 35 and couldn't book on the site though.

Beebityboo · 12/05/2021 18:27

Managed to book 38YO DH in on the NHS website for next Tuesday. What a relief!. We're in the West Mids.

babychange12 · 12/05/2021 18:28

DH sept 81 has just booked. He's booked at AFC Wimbledon. His second dose options was very few places including Islington so fingers crossed it's moderna

BessMarvin · 12/05/2021 19:02

@BessMarvin

Can't book age 39
Can book age 39.

Lots of options though so maybe they've got Pfizer in loads of places

pitterpatterrain · 12/05/2021 19:03

March 83 just booked, BAC for tomorrow ShockGrin

vaxmeup · 12/05/2021 19:10

Just booked for Friday! There were loads of options available including pharmacies which I didn't think would be offering Pfizer/Moderna due to the storage required so I'm not sure if the booking system has been changed to restrict AZ to over 40s...have booked into a hospital vacc centre which I know has been doing Pfizer.

EasterIssland · 12/05/2021 19:11

Hugo heard whispers that 38-39 can book

OH (Jan 82) is booked in at elland road next Wednesday :) he's the last unvaccinated adult in the family so it will be nice once he's done. Just hoping for minimal side effects as we go on holiday the day after!

Peachi82 · 12/05/2021 19:31

September 82 and booked.
Going to the same place where my over 40 boyfriend received Moderna last week, so I'm hoping they will have Moderna or Pfizer for me.

Options were also lots of pharmacies as well, but when I used second option at a different site these pharmacies didn't come up. So fingers crossed for some nice rna for me.

BigGreen · 12/05/2021 19:48

Yay I managed to book. There were loads of chemists available locally (which were definitely doing AZ last week as DH had his). I went for a hospital clinic, crossing fingers for Pfizer!

hiccupgate · 12/05/2021 19:49

33, had a text from GP yesterday morning, jabbed at 8.30 this morning. Pfizer.

squiglet111 · 12/05/2021 19:55

When I booked none of the options were where I know astra zeneca was. So I think I've been offered places that has moderna or pilfzer. Will see what happens when I go. Will take what evers offered.

angrybee · 12/05/2021 20:09

Nov 81 - received invite from Guy’s & Thomas hospital yesterday, booked the earliest appointment at Guy’s Centre 2 which was this morning. I got Pfizer - first dose

One of the options for age 39 was where a 40s friend had AZ. Could be some places have more than one type

That happened to me the first time I logged in - gave me pharmacies and a centre I know only does AZ - but I pressed back abs went in again and my choices were reduced significantly.
NotBot · 12/05/2021 20:40

This has happened to my sis in law this evening. She could book this morning at local pharmacies she knows are doing AZ only. But this evening, her options suddenly limited & she could only book a limit no. of venues. She called her nearest & they confirmed Pfizer.

LemonCake79 · 12/05/2021 20:45

Had Pfizer this afternoon. I was called by GP and asked if I could come straight away. I asked if I could bring DH too and they said yes!

We are both 39 so have just sneaked in a little early as national booking is now open for us.

So pleased we've both had it now.

year5teacher · 12/05/2021 20:46

27 - got mine booked for the 22nd. My GP surgery is now getting through younger people.

Silversun83 · 12/05/2021 20:46

This has done the opposite for me!

At first only a couple of big options about 45 minutes away (one of which I know was doing Pfizer) and now a Pharmacy2u-administered site about 4 miles away. Though on the Pharmacy2u website it says that most of their sites are AZ-only.

Do you think it would still give AZ-only options?

nordica · 12/05/2021 20:50

It's disappointing if the system has let lots of 38-39s book AZ-only venues today - the vaccines minister himself tweeted this afternoon that it was not ok for us to book so you'd think we would know if the system was set up and ready or not!

I'm glad I picked a venue I know is doing Moderna... lots of the options on the list were local pharmacies but I didn't click into them to see if I could have actually booked there. I was also shown some big centres in London like Guys 1 and 2, but not my local hospital vaccination centre.

LittleRen · 12/05/2021 20:51

There is no guarantee that local pharmacies won’t have Pfizer and only AZ. I know many that have had Pfizer at small pharmacies so it really doesn’t follow.

usernotfound0000 · 12/05/2021 20:53

@Silversun83 I'm booked at a pharmacy2u site tomorrow, under 40 so hoping they have more than AZ. I read on their website that too and am slightly worried now, but the worst that happens is I won't have it and I will rebook somewhere else. I'll report back tomorrow!

Raspberry12 · 12/05/2021 20:59

Booked in for next week and second jab for early August... trip up to Scotland to see my mum in September is looking more likely now 🤞 not too many side effects. Hope everyone manages to get a booking soon too :)
