Moderna - Madjeski Reading

Has anyone had their vaxx today/last couple of days at Madjeski Reading & if so was it Moderna ? Oh had it there 10 days ago & I'm booked in there for tomorrow so am curious to know if anyone has been lately & which one they got ?! Thanks.

Just saw your reply on the other thread! I’ve just realised mine is actually Wednesday (that bank holiday has confused me!) at madejski so please update tomorrow when you know.

Hi, yes it was Moderna today, 3rd May but the nurse said they are due to switch to AZ, shortly. I was very grateful to receive either.

I just had mine at Madejski and it was Moderna. They said they are running out of it though and expect to switch to AZ very soon.

The nurse I spoke to said they only had a day or two's worth left ... difficult to know when exactly the cut off would be on that. Someone I know who went yesterday (who got Moderna) said they were told AZ would be from today ... which is definitely isn't because everyone there this morning was getting Moderna. So annoying not to know for sure - I would have taken either but am quite pleased it was Moderna ... purely for the fact that everyone I know who has had it felt fine, except for a sore arm and I have a really hectic week at work this week.

The only option I got was the Kassam, which is currently using AZ. It might be then that they estimate that no doses of Moderna are left at the time of my appointment, so you may be lucky today!

I have booked mine this sun and the second appointment would be towards end of July. If there are switching to AZ there 2 days，then it's probably that I would get AZ weekend.

I opted for the "don't want same location for 2nd" & it offered me Madjeski, Guys Vaccination site 1, Islington Design Centre (might not bet the exact name), Ashton Gate Bristol & somewhere in Brighton ! None of these are local to me, whereas sites nearer which I know are using AZ did have availability on the same date but weren't an option for me to book. Hope that makes sense ?!! Just gonna have to wait & see aren't I ?!

I just want to know so I can cancel the appointments if it's AZ. I'm not driving too far but I can get a much nearer appointment for AZ so no point driving if it is. Thanks for all the updates on here, very useful!

Someone in other thread was suggesting to do this to check if you were getting Moderna, and the centres you got seem to be Moderna ones. It looks to me that you are most likely getting Moderna then! Smile

When did you book the appointment? I booked a week or so ago and would only give me the same location again, but my first appointment is after yours. Very odd. I may have booked before they thought they would run out.

Mine is Thursday lunchtime. I had written it down incorrectly and thought it was tomorrow. When I booked, the second appointment would only allow me moderna sites. But if they've run out, they've run out!
