34.3m first jabs
14.9m second jabs

have been given in the UK. This means that 65% of all adults have some level of protection and 28% are fully vaccinated.

Additionally evidence is currently suggesting that the vaccines are effective against the Brazilian and Indian variants 🥳

I want that 1 million day. Even if we only hit it once. Now that is greedy 😂

Suppose we could get a bank holiday backlog suddenly reported all at once

I can’t believe the title of this thread when I started it was “1.5 million people have been vaccinated”. Incredible how far we’ve come!

This means that if you walk down a street and see another adult then the most likely thing is that they will have had both jabs. The next most likely thing is that they will have had one jab. The least likely thing is that they will have had no jabs. That is a lovely thought for Wednesday!

The vaccine minister said in an interview today that second doses for over 50s will be done by 21st June.

I saw someone else work it out to be 14th June at are current rate of second jabs.

Should really help with cases and hospitalisations once two weeks have passed.

Anyone in their 40s still waiting on their letter for first dose? I'm Scotland and feels like everyone else I know has had it! I filled in the form online saying I thought I had been missed but heard nothing. DH hasn't had his either.

Why do you need a letter? Is it different in Scotland?

In England and Wales as soon as you are eligible you can book online.

Have you tried asking on the scotsnet board? Just in case nobody on this one can help. If a different system. They can probably help you there better.

Healthier Lancashire and South Cumbria have said more pop-up vaccination clinics are being set up in east Lancashire.

It said people who are over 18 can get a vaccine, subject to eligibility, with no need to book at venues including Troy Street Mosque and at St Michael and St John’s Primary School in Blackburn.

So they are saying. Anyone in the eight west London boroughs over 18 wanting the jab needs to get there before 7.30pm.

Yes you need to be sent an invitation first I called them, they have my details, I just need to wait.

My local authority is now over 50% second doses!

That is brilliant 🥳🥳🥳🥳

I will be over the moon when mine get over 50% of first doses. Hopefully in the next week 😕 Only saving grace we probably have a fair amount of herd immunity from half the borough catching covid at Christmas.
