As of Friday 30th April

34.3m first jabs
14.9m second jabs

have been given in the UK. This means that 65% of all adults have some level of protection and 28% are fully vaccinated.

Additionally evidence is currently suggesting that the vaccines are effective against the Brazilian and Indian variants 🥳

I had my first jab in March (2nd on Tuesday) and I did a blood test for the OFNS on 6th May. Just got the results back as positive for antibodies Smile

Where do I find the blocky charts please?

Bordois · 21/05/2021 10:41

@Dementedswan

Where do I find the blocky charts please?
Click on vaccination data from the main page and then click on United Kingdom- you can the change the location to local authorities, etc.

You can do the same with the other data (cases, deaths, etc.) helps to put a lit into perspective!

According to a link posted on another thread my areas cases are over 70% indian strain. However when I look at the actual cases numbers there were only 12 actual cases for the same time period which makes it a lot less concerning.

Dementedswan · 21/05/2021 10:48

Ooh 77.5% have had first dose and 44.5% have had second in my neck of the woods!

Bordois · 21/05/2021 10:53

Its 69 / 37 in my local authority but I think we skew to a slightly younger demographic here

Oh, I've just noticed both my area and county have gone yellow on the map too. I'll expect it will be back to green soon so I will savour it whilst I can 🤣

@bordois do you have the link for the Indian variant?

WarriorN · 21/05/2021 12:49

Hi,

There's apparently been 19 confirmed Indian variant cases in north Tyneside, though probably more.

All adults being offered pcr test this weekend from mobile units.

The link takes you to a particular area, but if you move the map around you can select the area that you want. I found it easier to manually move the slider than hit play as it runs quite quickly.

@WarriorN whereabouts in North tyneside?

Dementedswan · 21/05/2021 13:02

Thank you

WarriorN · 21/05/2021 13:05

We've received info from phe (Wendy!) in school so staff working there but not living there can access tests.

Given the chat I had today with a school mum (not north Tyneside) about how friends of her husband who are NT have both tested positive (refused vaccine) and how her dh shared a lift to rugby with them and now worried, it's good they're getting in early.

The weather is rubbish here and we've tried to book a table indoors for my mother in law's birthday. Everything completely booked out.

With museums etc opening too it's not the best timing!

WarriorN · 21/05/2021 13:09

Sorry I thought this was the number thread!

Glad it's helped someone though.

EasterIssland · 21/05/2021 13:54

thanks! I saw it the other day but been stressed at work and didnt remember about the link

EasterIssland · 21/05/2021 14:09

Update from Hugo

688,563 vaccinations in Flag of United Kingdom yesterday

Flag of England 234,818 1st doses / 367,142 2nd doses
Flag of Scotland 18,603 / 26,968
Flag of Wales 11,583 / 17,214
NI 3,247 / 8,988

5th-biggest day of the rollout so far I think. Three bigger during that boost period in the second half of March, plus a random spike one day in late April.

lurker101 · 21/05/2021 14:23

Yay! Great numbers! I’m one of the second doses 💪 The centre was exceptionally busy with constant vaccinations and a huge queue outside of people that were early for their appointments. It was a visibly young crowd compared to those I’ve seen before which was lovely! I would say the eldest I saw was around 45. So lovely to see so many people getting vaccinated🥂

Dementedswan · 21/05/2021 14:29

🥳🥳🥳 fab numbers!

InMySpareTime · 21/05/2021 14:35

I got my second dose today (so I'll be tomorrow's numbers). In and out within 15 minutes, most of which was me trying to get a sticker.
My sticker has pride of place on my phone, and I'm making the most of a skive day, even though I have no side effects at all so far.

EasterIssland · 21/05/2021 14:54

It's raining vaccines! Hallelujah!

Frazzled2207 · 21/05/2021 15:50
