Don't think so bubble. I ended up booking the same day and time as my mum's second jab so assume it will be AZ.

pudseypie · 29/04/2021 19:12

I'm August 1979 and it keeps saying I'm not eligible. However some of my younger neighbours, only just turned 40, 41 have been able to book?! What's going on? We have the same postcode so can't be that.

Scissorsforthedrifter · 29/04/2021 19:13

Really pleased for everyone who's managed to book already. Good luck to the 80s still waiting!

Need a new hobby now 😂

Frazzled2207 · 29/04/2021 19:14

@bubblebubblebubbletrouble

Just booked for next weds - Aug 1979. Eeekkkk - is there any way of knowing what vaccine each site has?
Not really of being sure no. Some of the larger sites are now offering Moderna, but it doesn’t mean you are guaranteed to get Moderna if you go there. If not one of the largest centres it is more likely to be AZ though some places will be giving Pfizer. Very likely places will do all of a certain jab on a particular day.
Scissorsforthedrifter · 29/04/2021 19:14

@pudseypie keep trying, it seems to be in a completely random order. It was so unexpected when it worked!

Eccle80 · 29/04/2021 19:15

Strangely it asked DH questions about if he had had a flu vaccine or was going to, but for me it didn’t. Is it because it can see from my NHS record I had it last autumn?

There seems to be no pattern to how they put them on! I am a fellow August 1979 and got in an hour ago so just keep trying
thereinmadnesslies · 29/04/2021 19:15

I’m Feb 81 and it’s letting me book. I can’t work out whether I want to travel further in the hope of getting Moderna

Eccle80 · 29/04/2021 19:16

No way of knowing except local information, but all the centres I had definitely heard are doing moderna had no availability for over 2 weeks!

jaminthemiddle · 29/04/2021 19:17

Booked in Bristol. December 1980!

pudseypie · 29/04/2021 19:19

After reading all these messages just tried again, got in and booked! First one Sunday

thereinmadnesslies · 29/04/2021 19:20

I have the option of guys centre 1 which is meant to have Moderna but it’s about 90mins travel

Thefourthman · 29/04/2021 19:20

It’s let me book too, 80.

yoshiblue · 29/04/2021 19:22

October 1980 booked for Sportcity Manchester next week - eeeek!

HSHorror · 29/04/2021 19:25

Dp finally got the appt.
Shepton mallet. So pretty far - but it's tomorrow! So managed to get dose 2 in before the dates we cant do.
Maybe Ashton gate is so popular if people think its getting something other than AZ.
I think the drop ins etc are for attracting men as they are behind.

Scissorsforthedrifter · 29/04/2021 19:30

@Eccle80 I got those questions too. I didn't get it because of GP issues. I didn't know if it was because I'm on the flu jab list and didn't get it.

Marjoriesdoor · 29/04/2021 19:40

I went onto the booking system to manage my booking and it said that I had missed my first dose and therefore I needed to book both appointments again. I browsed the centres available but didn’t complete the booking and left the web page, thinking it must just be a glitch and my details would be updated soon to say that I had my first dose. However, about ten minutes later I got a text message to say that I have cancelled my second dose and should go to the website and book an appointment. I rang the helpline and, indeed, my second dose has been cancelled and as the system hasn’t been updated to say that I have indeed has my first there’s nothing I can do for a few days. Am now worried I won’t get my second dose at the right time as everything is booking up so fast. Argh. Once you have got your appointments, don’t eff about on the website - leave well alone - don’t make the same mistake I did!

3asAbird · 29/04/2021 19:49

Just checked again and I'm in 1980 super trooper the year abba released that song.

Only one local was Ashton gate Bristol so booked 1st jab 2 weeks but 2nd won't be until early August.

NutellaEllaElla · 29/04/2021 19:49

July 1980 - Booked!! Through NHS website.

I booked Ashton i just assumed az think they do both won't know until day I guess is pfizer still 12 week gap.
Eccle80 · 29/04/2021 19:57

I suspect that is the reason for Ashton Gate’s popularity as even I had heard it was meant to be moderna there and I’m over an hour away! The closer one to me doing moderna was more booked up than everywhere else too

TheVolturi · 29/04/2021 19:59

I'm may 81 so not 40 yet but it's letting me book, however the closest ones are booked up till the end of May, so I might ring my gp and see if I can book to have it there?

ChloeDecker · 29/04/2021 20:01

Oh no Marjoriesdoor that is so unlucky. Really feel for you. IT bugs like that should not be happening on a platform of this scale.

Not heard anyone say that locally. I'm happy whatever I get. As sister got pfizer 1st dose south Wales then uk must have enough phizer. Moderna I thought only small delivery 500k so not sure how split thought news said lot sent to Scotland and Wales. Think everyone i know in Bristol has az
TheVolturi · 29/04/2021 20:05

I assume you can't take dc with you?
