I've lost my reference number

In the excitement of booking a vaccine I didn't write the ref number down. Will I need it for my appointment? If yes where can I retrieve it from? Many thanks

Did you book through the online NHS England system? Maybe the email went to your junk box?

I needed to show my text message with my appointment but I'm in Scotland. That was just to get in the building though then it was all on tablets.

I didn't need it for changing my mum's appointment several times. Go back in as though you are trying to book again.

You shouldn't need it - do you have the text message/email to confirm the appointment? If you can show that you don't need the reference number. Where I volunteer we all have a list of the days appointments to refer to which has the reference number on anyway.

No I didn't screen shot the reference number and haven't received an email or text message confirmation but the appointment was definitely booked for tomorrow x

Something is wrong with the website set up.

I entered all my details but haven't received any confirmation but it definitely went through. It's very strange!

I haven’t had any email or text confirmation from the booking made today either - think the system just got so overwhelmed that they haven’t sent out (but luckily I did a screenshot).
Have you tried calling 119 to see if they can help find the appointments?

I just had to give my name, they had all names on a list which they ticked off. I think you'll be fine

Yes when my partner had his the email had the ref no on it hence why I didn't bother to make a note of it this morning 😣

There was an issue earlier with the site, where it was down. The site itself may well be up, but integration to other services may not be.

I volunteer at a vaccine centre. We check people in on the computer. You just have to give your name and we check it against the list of people booked in for that clinic.

I didn't recieve an email or text confirmation either, booked last night and had mine today - they ticked my name off a list when I arrived, only when I was in did they want the booking number. I think it would have been ok if I didn't have it as they had all my details, just asked me to confirm name, date of birth and postcode..

I know that all places in England are different but when I went you only had to say the number, no need to show it in any particular form and there weren't any tablets. The staff/volunteers input and checked my info

I think the people who booked earlier today haven't received acknowledgments, I haven't and I booked at lunchtime. There was a surge due to the announcement that over 45s can now book online.

Fortunately, I took a photo of the ref numbers and then re-entered them to double check the dates and times, once I realised I hadn't got a text acknowledgment. Maybe they'll come through in the next few days?

But I'm sure that if you turn up with ID if necessary, they'll be able to find you on their list, it just makes it easier if you have the reference number.
