I've got my covid vaccine tomorrow. No idea which one it will be until I get there. Just wondering which one you had and what side effects did you get?

I've got mine tomorrow too. AZ. All the teachers at my school being done together so of course the kids are hoping were all at death's door on Thursday! Grin
I've read about headaches and generally shittiness but am trying to not look in case it becomes a self fulfilling prophecy!

I had Pfizer last Wednesday. Within a couple of hours I had a headache but I think that was due to being stuck at roadworks on a hilly road and obnoxious headlights. Within 4-5 hours I was feeling quite feverish and the next day I was feeling quite fluey and was entirely useless. Day after that I was very tired but was ok the next day.

All the teachers at my school being done together

How have you managed that please?

Had Pfizer on Saturday. Sore patch on arm for Saturday, that was it.

AyeKarumba · 02/03/2021 19:06

Pfizer. No side effects here apart from a sore arm. 🙌🙌🙌

Changethetoner · 02/03/2021 19:07

I had Pfizer. Only side effect was a slightly sore arm for a couple of days, and a tiny bruise at the injection site.

I'm in Italy.

I had AZ. Had flu like symptoms the following day: fuzzy head and aches and a sore arm. Felt completely fine the second day after vaccination.

Del29 · 02/03/2021 20:56

I had AZ on Sunday and have had no side effects whatsoever. I think I’m in the minority though!

poppym12 · 02/03/2021 21:02

I had the Pfizer vaccine on 1st February. I had a bit of a sore arm and a headache the day after but I was soooo tired. Fortunately I hadn't got to do anything that day so just slept. Fine after that.

MolyHolyGuacamole · 02/03/2021 21:03

Had AZ and only soreness at the site, no other symptoms

CeibaTree · 02/03/2021 21:07

I had AZ last week with no side effects part from a slightly sore arm and being extremely hungry all day the next day!

Purplewithred · 02/03/2021 21:09

Az. Felt a bit spacey the next morning, by the end of the day had a fever and aches and felt grotty. Early night with paracetamol. Fine next day.

Titsywoo · 02/03/2021 21:11

I had mine 3 hours ago so shall see...

Doireallyneedaname · 02/03/2021 21:11

I had Pfizer. I felt hungover and a bit floaty for 2 days, along with a sore arm.

FiveNightsAtMummys · 02/03/2021 21:45

They all sound manageable, think I'm just anxious about it as its being talked about everywhere at the moment. I'm looking forward to having it, it feels like a step closer to normality.

ElizabethinherGermanGarden · 02/03/2021 21:51

AZ on Saturday. No effects for about 6 hours then headache, chills, slight temp and aches and general I-feel-shitness. Manageable to go on with day but felt roughy for 24 hours. Then miraculously back to normal as if it had never happened.

EmmaGellerGreen · 02/03/2021 21:55

Pfizer on Sunday. My arm was very sore yesterday, just a bit uncomfortable today. Yesterday I ran and dog walked, about 8 miles altogether which was fine but if I tried to concentrate on anything, I was just exhausted. Fine today.

PowerslidePanda · 02/03/2021 21:59

AZ yesterday morning. Fever started late last night but only lasted a couple of hours. Felt a bit rough and headachey this morning. Fine since lunch time.

snowone · 02/03/2021 22:00

Pfizer for me, had a headache for 24 hours but I think that was due to lack of sleep and anxiety, other than that just a sore arm 👍🏻

Titsywoo · 03/03/2021 09:45

Ok so it's been 15 hours since my jab (AZ) and bar a sore arm I feel fine. I'm only 42 so thought I'd feel worse. Maybe my immune system is shit Grin

raviolidreaming · 03/03/2021 09:52

tiny bruise at the injection site

  • this is more likely to be down to injection technique than the actual vaccine.
Seeline · 03/03/2021 09:59

I had AZ 12 days ago.

Really sore arm within a few hours.
12 hours later woke up in the night feeling really hot then really cold, severe pains in legs and hands and a major headache. The next day had paracetamol regularly and still had aches and pains, and felt really under the weather. The headache lasted for 3 days. Took about a week to stop feeling really lethargic. Yesterday was the first day I wasn't aware of a pain in my arm. DH had his at the same time and had no side effects at all.

Hoping the second dose won't be so bad - still have it though.

Tiktokersmiracle · 03/03/2021 10:05

I had Pfizer Saturday afternoon

Hour after had a migraine, but was sorted by two nurofen. Didn't particularly feel tired but went to bed at 10pm and slept through until 8am (unheard of).

Sunday morning felt a bit sick. Made myself boiled egg on toast but only managed one slice of toast. However, by evening appetite was back to normal. Did however have cystitis.

Fine Monday, just tired. Tuesday felt really quite rotten, sick, headache, achy.
Woke up at 5.30am this morning in extreme pain with my kidney, was sick. DP had to help me up as I felt so weak. Had some painkillers and it seems to be wearing off but I think perhaps the cystitis has given me a kidney infection perhaps.

I'm hoping I'm on the home straight. DP had the same Vaccine and has had a very sore arm and said Saturday he felt quite trippy!

FiveNightsAtMummys · 03/03/2021 15:15

I had the AZ feel nothing yet but its only been a couple of hours. They person there advised me to take paracetamol as soon as I got back so I've done that.

I had Pfizer.

Headache about an hour after but mild.

Sore arm for 2 days.

About 10 days after vaccine I developed a painful neck/shoulder and armpit on the side I had the jab, which I've since realised was my immune system kicking in and swelling my lymph nodes. Day 14 and pain now gone. Makes me feel very positive my body doing it's thing
