I've got a feeling I may regret posting this but here goes!
I was mistakenly added to the CV list at the he start of the pandemic (I believe there was a small group of people this happened to). I asked by GP surgery about it and they couldn't help. Each time there is a lockdown or new guidance I've received a shielding letter and also emails. I've been contacted by the children's centre, the local council and the covid help centre (or whatever it's called?) and offered support/help. Each time I've explained I shouldn't be on the list and refused the assistance, priority delivery etc
My dilemma is that as I'm on the list I've just received a letter inviting me to book an appointment for the vaccine. Morally I feel like I shouldn't have it as it feels like I'm taking it from someone else however (1) I work full time as a nurse at a specialist placement which doesn't fall in soon to be vaccinated catagory, (2) despite this we do twice weekly testing which I am primarily responsible for so I'm in contact with around 200 people each week and (3) like many others I worry how I would cope with two young children if me and DH were to get ill. We are both key workers and have DC at nursery with the youngest cared for by my DDad. I have a high BMI and very mild asthma so at a bit of risk from Covid but not loads. I'm also concerned that if I ignore this I'll be missed off the list when my correct time comes.
So I just thought I'd ask internet strangers their opinion...
