Tesco’s cancelling delivery?

I had a delivery booked with Tesco’s today, dd is on the extremely vulnerable list so we get priority slots, it was a whole day slot 10-6 as that’s the best I could get, however it hasn’t shown up, I’ve just called Tesco’s who said it was cancelled! When I said that isn’t good what am I suppose to do as we are on the priority list she said she would check and said the shopping shouldn’t be cancelled if we are on the priority list and we should still get it, but she didn’t sound convinced and couldn’t give me a time. I’m running out of nappies for dd so was relying on this slot, has this happened to anyone else and the shopping still been delivered?

I mistakenly changed my slot once, so I make sure now that I don’t do this and also make sure I accept any changes. Have you looked at your account to see if the order is still there. Could they arrange an urgent delivery for you or at least a click and collect. I would keep on at them and take a note of their name, in case you need to go back. Good luck. Are you on a local Facebook group that maybe someone can drop off some nappies for you.

This happened to me yesterday - I got this message at 9pm - it was supposed to have been delivered between 7 and 8!
The delivery has been marked as delivered in the app and I've heard nothing since. Not sure what to do, I am working so unable to sit on hold for ages.
I'll let you know at 10 if anything's arrived!

Oh no, the woman did say they have had to cancel a lot of orders but she did say that it shouldn’t apply to me as it’s a priority slot but like I said she didn’t sound very convincing, don’t know if she just wanted to get me off the phone, fwiw when I called them just now I was surprised that the call went through straight away (even though their automated message said it would be a long wait)

This was on the One Show last night as a growing issue. They did suggest try calling local shop direct as may be more helpful than call centre.

Shopping is marked as "delivered" once it has left depot apparently. So it should still turn up.

Still nothing 😬 really worried about not getting these nappies as I can do an Iceland shop for everything else they have been really good in my area except they don’t sell nappies! She said to give it 9 so we will see...

I’m feeling very lucky as I made an order yesterday for delivery today and it was all delivered with no substitutions

Depending where you live, you may be able to get nappies tomorrow from Amazon. They've saved the day (along with Iceland) for me a few times.

Not on priority list but I have had a booked delivery disappear from app and no delivery. Customer services were useless, I even offered to send the email confirmation of delivery but they weren’t interested. Never heard a thing again.

@Happycat1212 mine just arrived! I settled into a bath that must have been what triggered it 😅

So I got both an SMS and an email yesterday. Heard nothing today apart from an email with the voucher and the actual delivery of course. Not sure if that helps but I'll use Amazon fresh / Morrisons as a backup but they have been busy recently too. I hope you get the nappies 🤞

Op have a look at deliveroo, local shops are delivering to peoples houses. You might be able to get nappies

My Dd had hers cancelled yesterday, just before it was due to be delivered. Her and her boyfriend are isolating as they have Covid symptoms!
They had no food and in the end got some via Amazon Prime. I don’t know if that’s an option for you OP?

It happened to a friend last week & me a couple of weeks earlier. We are both CV , but CEV, so not 'priority slot'

Tesco has been great for quite a few years for me and brilliant this past year. So it was quite a surprise.

Well it never came, don’t know why they kept telling me it was still coming, I wish they had have just told me that it wasn’t coming when I first called at 6 rather than keep telling me it would. I could have sorted out something sooner and got someone to bring some for me but they kept insisting it would still come

Fuming!! It’s been cancelled and isn’t coming, why on earth did they tell me twice it would definitely still be coming today and that they wouldn’t cancel priority slots

I an CEV abd had that in the snow recently. They sent an email the next day and brought it two days after that.

That’s awful OP but doesn’t surprise me at all unfortunately. Try Deliveroo if urgent and Amazon hope you sort something out.

I've previously had a Tesco delivery order just vanish from my account/app.

I do click & Collect now, but we were isolating at the time. Amazon and Iceland have been very good.

I would have asked my mum earlier but she’s disabled and doesn’t live local so I didn’t want to put her out but they kept insisting it would still come, even told me it had been put on another van especially as it was a priority slot 😕
