Tesco’s cancelling delivery?

I had a delivery booked with Tesco’s today, dd is on the extremely vulnerable list so we get priority slots, it was a whole day slot 10-6 as that’s the best I could get, however it hasn’t shown up, I’ve just called Tesco’s who said it was cancelled! When I said that isn’t good what am I suppose to do as we are on the priority list she said she would check and said the shopping shouldn’t be cancelled if we are on the priority list and we should still get it, but she didn’t sound convinced and couldn’t give me a time. I’m running out of nappies for dd so was relying on this slot, has this happened to anyone else and the shopping still been delivered?

The worst thing with Tesco I found was that they refused to take a complaint. If that was a financial service refusing a complaint they would be in deep water.

Don’t suppose you have a local Spar shop? The two in our smallish town have started delivering 1 hour after the order is placed. I imagine they’ll not be cheap for nappies but I guess they’ll have something in.

Our local Waitrose had to close due to covid for 10 days or 2 weeks and I had 2 orders cancelled. I'm CEV with 3dc and it was worrying. Thankfully the Brexit/Covid stash saw us through along with Amazon. I bulk buy nappies from Amazon anyway but I've discovered they are also good for emergency Pringles, veggie marshmallows, veggie pâté, sanpro, toiletries, cosmetics and chocolate. If you have prime then most things are next day delivery. Your local covid mutual aid group will be able to help if you have one. Ours collects prescriptions, health shop orders, anything from the local shops. I hope you get sorted.
