Just got asked about it on the presser.

He was fab in his response (as he is in most responses he gives)

Just said he's surprised it even made the media and got that far as it's just some young lad doing his thing.
And that he's sure he'll become a model citizen like Captain Tom one day and be someone who will lead people to do the right thing.

As my ds would say - it was a total burn Grin

How old was the heckler? I’ve only heard of it and not seen the video.
15

Waspnest · 03/02/2021 20:30

He doesn't work from No10 all the time, he is a consultant at a hospital as well. Didn't he work on the wards over Christmas

Yes I think he does. Plus he probably spends time at the DoH. Plus he lectures at Gresham College. I think he's a workaholic!

Letsnotargue · 03/02/2021 20:33

Apparently the mum has ‘instructed’ the school to make sure he makes an apology video. Because obviously that’s their job, not hers...

ThatIsNotMyUsername · 03/02/2021 20:54

Because he learned this from school, obviously...

Rosehip10 · 03/02/2021 21:15

If the mother genuinely thinks her dickhead son wanted to "engage with CW about the impact of lockdown on teenagers" then she is as idiotic as him.

itsgettingweird · 03/02/2021 21:34

@AlohaMolly

Is Chris Whitty working out of no. 10? If so, I would suggest he goes out to Buy his lunch once a week because it’s the only way he can escape Johnson and his band of tools. I bet CW takes himself off when he feels the need to clothesline BJ as he buffoons his way past his door.

The burritos from that Mexican stall are fantastic - Mt Whitty has good taste

WhiteChocTwix · 03/02/2021 21:45

But, I’m surprised he goes out to buy lunch. I thought he would make his own

If I was Mrs W he'd go off every morning with a full stocked packed lunch Grin he needs looking after.
The kid was an absolute utter embarrassment.

ineedaholidaynow · 03/02/2021 22:17

Is there a Mrs W?

mrsanflowerpot · 03/02/2021 22:21

Not the biggest CW fan - although I respect him very much - I thought his response was BRILLIANT

This has his response word for word.

The more I read of and listen to CW the more he earns my respect and admiration. He lives by the advice he is giving and has done very well at remaining as unpoliticised as possible given his position.

sonnysunshine · 03/02/2021 23:01

Oh god. My DS is 15 and says mandem all the time. It's so annoying. We love starting using it too to be even more annoying.

Waspnest · 03/02/2021 23:10

Ah there's a huge CW fanbase on here, there was a thread last year full of lust appreciation for him.

I think somebody said they knew him a bit and he did have a partner (don't know what sex) and that he was generally known as being a good bloke but he keeps a very low profile.

Waspnest · 03/02/2021 23:11

What does 'mandem' mean??

TheRuleofStix · 03/02/2021 23:15

@Waspnest a group of mates

He seems a proper top bloke. Not one you'd necessarily see down the pub with his mates, but intelligent and loyal and respectful.
FabbyMagic · 03/02/2021 23:20

He’s a doctor, I’m sure he’s not too phased by people being rude to him unfortunately!

Waspnest · 03/02/2021 23:22

Thank you. It's like learning a new language with teenagers isn't it?

Waspnest · 03/02/2021 23:24

No I think he does like going for a pint.

Dickorydockwhatthe · 03/02/2021 23:30

I have alot of respect for Chris witty even if I don't agree with him sometimes. He seems like a genuine, kind and decent person. His response is brilliant.

I love it when he’s part of the briefings. And the answer he gave to the question about the tiktok video was brilliant
dreamerdreamer · 03/02/2021 23:34

He's a class act!

Waspnest · 03/02/2021 23:38

Here; Before we knew we'd still be mired in the Covid shit in 2021.
