Age groups being called for vaccine

doireallyneedaname · 02/02/2021 17:58

Partners parents (66 & 65) have been invited, neither vulnerable. Pleasantly surprised if I’m honest, I guess their area is hammering through the groups.

Vaccine calculator tells me I’ll likely be eligible May-July this year - I’m 32.

Who is the youngest person you know that has been invited? Frontline workers aside, obviously.

In Wales I don't know anyone under 80 who has been vaccinated.

LemonTT · 02/02/2021 19:23

19 year old who is a cev.

PinkyParrot · 02/02/2021 19:24

DB just been invited at 73 in Scotland.

ScrumptiousBears · 02/02/2021 19:25

73 year old mum has hers this week.

Tatum1234 · 02/02/2021 19:26

My 69 year old mum had hers on Saturday.

yearinyearout · 02/02/2021 19:27

They've done the over 70s round here so assume they're on over 65s now

FuzzyPuffling · 02/02/2021 19:28

My 55yr old CEV DH is having his on Saturday. Otherwise it's the over 75s.
I expect to get mine in March (group 6)

Iremembertheelderlykoreanlady · 02/02/2021 19:29

74 year old dad who is CEV. Yorkshire

OverTheRainbow88 · 02/02/2021 19:30

70s and CEV here in Bristol.

I think aiming for over 65s within a week or 2

RuleWithAWoodenFoot · 02/02/2021 19:31

Over 65s being done where my parents live. No idea where we live.

DawnAnn · 02/02/2021 19:34

My mother who is in her late 60's (NE England)

mrsknottschicken · 02/02/2021 19:37

I know someone who is in their 50s but they work in a special school so I think they get priority? South east.

MySocalledLoaf · 02/02/2021 19:38

A friend 40 CEV had hers today as did my parents, early 70s with no health issues. Living in same postcode.

yesyoudoknowme · 02/02/2021 19:38

33yo. Health issues but not life threatening. I'm in my 60s not done, parents in 80s not done. Different areas. Not impressed though tbh.

PrivateHall · 02/02/2021 19:40

My parents are 66 and have had theirs this week Smile They are well and healthy, not clinically vulnerable.

Quartz2208 · 02/02/2021 19:47

My 68 year old parents one had it today the other tomorrow. No underlying issues so must be on the under 65s now

GherkinsOnToast · 02/02/2021 19:49

Group 4 being done this week, me included (CEV). They reckon they be doing group 6 within 2 weeks.

Teamox · 02/02/2021 19:52

@yesyoudoknowme
Have you contacted anyone about your parents? Used the NHS booking link or phoned GP? I think they are encouraging anyone over 80 now to

TheDinosaurTrain · 02/02/2021 19:52

I’m CEV so group 4, but no appointment as yet

doireallyneedaname · 02/02/2021 19:53

Have you seen the link where you can book your own appointment? It was posted the other day

OP posts:
notevenat20 · 02/02/2021 19:55

@yesyoudoknowme. They can book a vaccination right now from www.nhs.uk/book-a-coronavirus-vaccination/do-you-have-an-nhs-number. Everyone in groups 1-4 can do this.

HoollyWugger · 02/02/2021 19:56

A 29 year old friend who works in special education. Apparently in a high risk area so all special ed staff are being done there.

SmednotaSmoo · 02/02/2021 19:59

My mum will be vaccinated at 70 and 6 days old. My inlaws, 70 and 74 at a different part of the country, haven’t heard anything yet.

GherkinsOnToast · 02/02/2021 20:02

@TheDinosaurTrain - our surgery seem to be working through their own patient list booking spots at the local centre - I got a call at 10am today offering me a slot tomorrow at 9.01am. So I took it! Fil is 75 and has his on Tuesday next week.

User27aw · 02/02/2021 20:04
