Age groups being called for vaccine

Partners parents (66 & 65) have been invited, neither vulnerable. Pleasantly surprised if I’m honest, I guess their area is hammering through the groups.

Vaccine calculator tells me I’ll likely be eligible May-July this year - I’m 32.

Who is the youngest person you know that has been invited? Frontline workers aside, obviously.

I know loads of folk, 20-68 who have had it (London) by just tagging on for the leftover doses each day.

Two75 year old friends had first vaccine last Saturday. 60 year old cousin who is a Dr's receptionist.

Scotland are way behind. Just starting 75+ but still have loads of 80+ to do.

It is shocking. As if the life expectancy here wasn't bad enough without a pandemic and disorganised roll out of vaccines.

My 16 year old CEV son had it yesterday.

My local authority has invited everyone in groups 1-4, but is not moving onto group 5 because they are 'not allowed'. This is despite the neighbouring authority merrily inviting their group 5 residents for their vaccine...

72 year old FIL done yesterday, which was a pleasant surprise as a week or two ago my local NHS trust was named as the worst performing at vaccine rollout in the whole country, and had a way to go to get through the over 80s. They said then that they would be scaling up shortly and I guess they did!

In these threads it’s alway worth remembering that just because yourself or someone you know has been called it does not necessarily mean that is the group that they are up to. People are being called to fill spaces and to minimise wastage.

I'm ECV, 53 I've had mine, so have people in similar circumstances on my FB. My Sister has booked hers, she's 65 in July.
