My son is CEV and only 6, so I've been really fretting as he cannot be vaccinated. I've just come off the phone from our doctors surgery and they are offering me a cancellation Pfizer tomorrow as I'm a carer!
I'm not going to lie, I cried 🤣
One step closer to the end of this hell.

That's brilliant!

Zogstart · 01/02/2021 10:45

Amazing news for you! Also, if they are offering vaccines to caters in these circumstances does anyone think there is positive news to come re. transmission being reduced from the vaccines??? Otherwise it wouldn’t make sense to do carers as a high priority group.
Very happy for you.

RhapsodyandAshe · 01/02/2021 10:49

Awesome stuff, keep the good news coming peeps!

Boulshired · 01/02/2021 11:06

zogstart
Carers are higher priority because without them there is an expensive social care crisis to cover the care given if the carer is unwell, as well as the risk to the vulnerable person not just of CV but the reduced/change of care.

GoldGreen · 01/02/2021 11:30

@Zogstart early evidence from Israel suggest vaccination may prevent transmission.

As others have said in OPs case it’s more to ensure she doesn’t get unwell so she can continue to care for her son, but hopefully will prevent transmission.

Zogstart · 01/02/2021 11:31

Ah ok fair enough, I didn’t think of that. I’m just on a mission to fund good news everywhere Grin

MrsRexVandeKamp · 01/02/2021 11:33
