If there was a guarantee life would get back to normal

No. As much as I think anyone who rejects a vaccine for no good reason is a twat, I don't want to live in a country that enforces it, it's a slippery slope.

Mybobowler · 09/01/2021 20:51

No, of course not. One of the reasons why mandatory vaccination is a terrible idea is because it throws fuel on the anti-vaxx fire.

Aquamarine1029 · 09/01/2021 20:52

Absolutely not.

Chimeraforce · 09/01/2021 20:52

No.

KiKiKiKi123 · 09/01/2021 20:53

No. But if people choose not to have it they shouldn’t be allowed to fly, enter shopping centres etc. It’s not fair on the rest of us who aren’t thick and selfish. I’m not talking about those that can’t have it for medical reasons.

HopeYourHighHorseBucks · 09/01/2021 20:54

No, but I'd support children not starting school unless they've had theirs. I know it would cause issues to do this but I think a massive part of the problem is that people are allowed to decide for their children, who don't get a say, and their crazy ideas are respected and mostly not challenged.

You say the problem is people are allowed to decide for their children, who dont get a say, but you think this is wrong, so you will decide for their children, who dont get a say? 🤔

This is an even more extreme view, forcing children to have the vaccine. Madness.

YouBoughtMeAWall · 09/01/2021 20:54

How would it even be made mandatory Op? What would the consequences for those who refused? Made to live in exile in their own covidy prison?

wellthatsunusual · 09/01/2021 20:55

No, I wouldn't. I don't believe in forced medical treatment of any sort. I don't even believe it's ethical to put fluoride in the water supply.

How would it affect you them being where you are if you’d had the vaccine?

rhowton · 09/01/2021 20:56

Absolutely not. Where do we draw the line?!

BBCONEANDTWO · 09/01/2021 20:56

No

MrsApplepants · 09/01/2021 20:56

No. The choice over your own body is a basic human right. There should be no ramifications for not having it either.
However i can’t wait to have my jab!

C152 · 09/01/2021 20:57

No

NewYearNewLockdown · 09/01/2021 20:58

@Aprilrainbow

No, the more dumb people get sick & die the better it is for society.

Nice, really nice Hmm

Enidblyton1 · 09/01/2021 20:59

No, that would be a disaster. It would give the anti vaxxers a proper reason to protest.

The odd incentive might not be a bad thing, but I don’t think we’ll need it. The vast majority of people will want to have this jab when it’s offered. A few of my friends (low risk, in their 30s/40s) were sceptical about the vaccine. Since having covid and seeing how bad it can make a young, fit person feel they now say they would have the vaccine.

bearandowl · 09/01/2021 21:01

No

ChateauMargaux · 09/01/2021 21:01

This is one thread that I wish voting had been enabled on... two yes votes and the rest no, so far.

Itawapuddytat · 09/01/2021 21:01

No. And I have already had the vaccine myself.

However, I agree with Last TrainEast: don't force people to vaccinate/put something that they do not want in their bodies, but if certain companies asks for it if someone wants to work for them/travel with them/visit them etc, or if being vaccinated is a compulsory condition to go to certain places/do certain things, then fair enough

PaddingtonsSister · 09/01/2021 21:03

Yes totally People are not just choosing for themselves they are choosing to put others at risk by not having the vaccine that is not right

Secretsquirrelsbuddy · 09/01/2021 21:03

No

I've not met a single parent in my whole teaching career of 15 years who has ever had a reason for not vaccinating their children other than autism or a belief that government control is the reason for vaccines.

How are you going to do that if the vaccine isn’t going to be offered to under 16?
WhereYouLeftIt · 09/01/2021 21:05

No.

I think nothing is more likely to make people reject the vaccine than making it mandatory. It would be counterproductive.

Quaagars · 09/01/2021 21:05

No.
I'm not an anti vaxxer either, kids completely up to date with all jabs and I'd take the jab when it's my turn (assuming I eventually will, I'm way down the list of everyone else needing it first though lol)

I don't want to live in a society where people don't have the right of choice
Exactly this

10milewalk · 09/01/2021 21:05

No, we are treading very dangerous ground if we start taking choices away from people, that's not a country I would want to live in.

Hairwizard · 09/01/2021 21:09

Fuck no.
