If there was a guarantee life would get back to normal

Same for me

If I was in charge I'd be tempted to put it in the water supply though .....

rainbowruthie · 09/01/2021 20:32

No, but I can't wait to get the vaccine
How would you envisage making it mandatory working?

tobee · 09/01/2021 20:32

No. But I'm leaning towards thinking they'll will be incentives to get it like difficult to fly, difficult to get travel insurance, difficult to get tickets, etc etc. But I'm firmly of the opinion that only a very hard core group of anti vaxxers will not get jabbed. I'm sure plenty of people will claim that they wanted to take time to choose whether to get it to save face. Their narrative will be that they aren't sheep or something; but will in fact give in to peer pressure.

tellthem · 09/01/2021 20:32

yep

Sorryusernamealreadyexists · 09/01/2021 20:38

No. There’s a huge remit of poor choices that people make at the detriment of their health and the health of others, but they’re still choices nonetheless

PinkFondantFancy · 09/01/2021 20:40

Absolutely not.

ThisIsNotARealAvo · 09/01/2021 20:41

No, but I'd support children not starting school unless they've had theirs. I know it would cause issues to do this but I think a massive part of the problem is that people are allowed to decide for their children, who don't get a say, and their crazy ideas are respected and mostly not challenged.

I've not met a single parent in my whole teaching career of 15 years who has ever had a reason for not vaccinating their children other than autism or a belief that government control is the reason for vaccines.

Really. Why stop there? Why not also add anti-depressants, don't want any miserable people after all. How about contraceptives in kids sweets, make sure we don't have any teen pregnancies? Honestly it makes me so cross. We live in a democracy with bodily autonomy. The willingness of people to kiss it goodbye is absolutely baffling.
PinkFondantFancy · 09/01/2021 20:43

Actually why stop there? Ban all unhealthy food. Mandatory exercise before you're allowed to be paid. We could go and go on this one

Perfect, force a vaccine that hasn't been tested on children onto them. Sounds good.
bumbleymummy · 09/01/2021 20:44

No

LastTrainEast · 09/01/2021 20:45

No, but I do think it's acceptable to say if you choose not then you can't enter/work at certain places where it might increase someone else's risk. That may seem like the same thing, but it's not.

If I want to dress as a clown 24/7 then I can but I can't work for a funeral director. It's a consequence of my decision.

Bluntness100 · 09/01/2021 20:46

I don’t think it will be necessary but yes I would

A friend of mine works in a gps practice, as a contractor, they were told if they didn’t have it they could not work there any longer. I think that’s fair.

ParisJeTAime · 09/01/2021 20:46

No. I have little patience for anti vaxxers, but I have even less desire to live in the sort of country which sanctions forcing medical procedures on to people who do not consent to having them.

inquietant · 09/01/2021 20:46

No fucking way.

Yes, this sort of thing is fair. That is still a choice though. I think there will be an aspect of this, where people may not be able to do certain things, if they are not vaccinated.

This is totally different - lots of things are a condition of a certain job. But compulsory vaccination = totitarian action.
LastTrainEast · 09/01/2021 20:49

Some people may have a valid (or at least not entirely unreasonable) objection to being vaccinated, but I think full blown anti-vaxxers should be exiled to an island somewhere. I have no sympathy for them.

inquietant · 09/01/2021 20:49

Totalitarian that should say!

loulouljh · 09/01/2021 20:49

No. Never.

YouBoughtMeAWall · 09/01/2021 20:49

@Northernsoullover

No, and I have absolutely no time for anti vaxxers.

HopeYourHighHorseBucks · 09/01/2021 20:50

No. In general I dont agree with forcing people to have medical procedures.

Theunamedcat · 09/01/2021 20:50

No its a small step towards government control I do not wish to take whats next? A dystopian nightmare

If you are talking about the Covid vaccine, this hasn't been tested on and isn't licensed for children.

Or do you mean in general? Shock

Aprilrainbow · 09/01/2021 20:50

No, the more dumb people get sick & die the better it is for society.
