I really thought there was going to be a primaries U-turn today

For once I am astonished that the government has made a decision and stuck to it!

(I mean, it’s the wrong decision, but still.)

Nope. Our school didn't even email to say either way. Just going to fib and say I have a temp. I don't think anyone will give a shit at this point.

PastMyBestBeforeDate · 04/01/2021 00:12

Oh that's a shame :(

Mind you it's amazing how snuggling down can elevate a temperature. Especially if you give them a warm drink before you take their temp and a picture of the thermometer

Beebityboo · 04/01/2021 00:15

Grin tbh I was going to lie about DD being unwell but felt a bit guilty as I don't want her or DS to have to collude. I have a disability that causes temps so I'm going to just say I'm getting tested to be on the safe side. I don't think I'll have to worry about next week somehow.

PastMyBestBeforeDate · 04/01/2021 00:25

Me neither. Do the test request for you. It's the only way to handle it.

@Blossomfall

Today 15:56TheFormidableMrsC

I'm in North Herts, all but one of our primaries have announced closure today

Where in North herts? I work in North herts in a school and have children in another and I have heard nothing so far.

Ok phew I was extremely alarmed at the assertion that all schools in north herts were shutting but i have triple checked my parent and governor email accounts and definitely have nothing.
Bedraggledmumoftwo · 04/01/2021 01:04

Ah I see everyone is talking about stevenage which is a separate council in it's own right in terms of covid figures etc. Not that that bodes well for the neighbouring districts of courseSad

So sorry, I didn't mean to cause alarm, I wasn't clear with location.
Bedraggledmumoftwo · 04/01/2021 01:17

No worries. I live in north herts (council) so assumed I must have missed something!

Flower2021 · 04/01/2021 21:57

Blimey.

Well, two weeks too late but at least we got there in the end!
