So here's mine:
I look after my niece one day a week and last week it happened to fall on the day our grocery delivery was due, it arrived without my dogs food and we'd run out that morning, so loaded my DD and niece (6 month old and 1 year old) to the supermarket, literally went in, both girls in pushchair so she wasn't running wild, grabbed the dog food and headed to the till, she'd been very good so I grabbed her a individual packet of chocolate buttons as a treat from next to the till, only for the lady behind me to tut and say 'that's not exactly essential shopping is it! Idiots like you are the reason we're in this mess! You should be ashamed of yourself! Then again what do we expect from girls like you that have nothing better to do than keep popping out kids for the benefits!' 😂 I love people's assumptions!

  1. Only 1 is actually mine,
  2. Both girls we're planned and very much wanted,
And 3. I'm 26 and married 😂 I loved the look on her face when I turned round and informed her 'and I'm pregnant again!' 😂

Schools being closed to all but the vulnerable and critical worker children...and then finding out that that includes nearly every child.

So schools are closed...but open.

  1. When people come back from shopping or a walk and then whine how packed it was and how irresponsible all those people are. YOU WERE THERE TOO YOU MORON.
  1. The person who suggested putting cheese in tea because milk "isnt essential"- they can go shove their stupid cheese up their arse
  1. People who claim getting chocolate in your weekly shop makes you a murderer
  1. "Literally sobbing and shaking" LMAO
  1. People washing their vegetables down with bleach. Horribly unhealthy and bad for you.

I saw a man use a dog poo bag as a face mask. Unused obviously. But looped the handles over his ears and used it as a mask, I was dumbfounded.

I was reported to trading standards for working. They wrote a handwritten anonymous letter. Trading standards laughed with me about it.

Turns out I’m a critical worker these days too.

Just remembered one that was on here - the woman who wanted a pregnancy testing kit and the pharmacist told her it wasn't essential and to go away.

The pleasure that some retail workers seem to take in shouting at customers.

Just heard another one complain they have been ill with a cold and sickness. Despite everyone telling them to take a covid test they have now said its a 24 hour bug. No doctor around to even hazard a guess. Sadly they are probably walking around town by now likely infectous..

@notanotherlockdownsurely

My seven year old GS not being allowed to bring in sweets on his Birthday in December ( as is usual in the class) due to possibility of cross contamination. The following day the teacher accepted a whole class gift for Christmas from the parents.
Did you really expect her to refuse to take it? That would have been the wrong thing too. Teachers can't win. Maybe she quarantined it after getting it.

"Eat out to help out"

£650 million spaffed up the wall on half priced Nando's and then the Government refusing to provide free school meals to poor children out of term or during home learning.

Joy69 · 16/01/2021 14:34

People thinking that just because they have got through the door of a retail establishment that they're safe to take their mask off. Had to tell someone 7 times to pull their mask up Angry

sonjadog · 16/01/2021 15:14

As well as the "cheese in tea" poster, there was the "water on breakfast cereal" poster. I was there to witness that one. Possibly the stupidest post I have ever seen on MN. Milk was not essential as you could have water on your breakfast cereal...

AngryPrincess · 16/01/2021 17:22

A man wearing a plastic bag overhis head as a mask. Instant Darwin Award.

Springersrock · 16/01/2021 17:42

I’ve seen someone today using a dog poo bag as a mask.

A handle looped on each ear.

Someone at work mentioned they’d seen someone else doing the same thing but I thought they were pulling my leg. I was amazed to see one in the wild.
