I’m on day 7, and finally am starting to feel human for the first time, fever is finally slowing. But the constant nausea feeling Sad anybody else get this and find anything that helped? Or is it just time?

I had awful night time nausea. I drank ginger tea, which possibly helped a bit. I was never actually sick, but that constant feeling was horrible. Hope it soon passes.

Thank you. It’s just constant, currently sipping a sparkling water with ice which actually seems to be helping .

Rennies helped me - was getting awful indigestion with it. Eating little bits - day 6/7 the thought of eating a full meal was just awful!

Jellifer · 29/12/2020 19:47

The GP told me to get Buccastem from the chemist and it really helped me. Do you have someone who could drop some off? Hope you feel better soon.

Remmy123 · 29/12/2020 19:51

My mum had this - she just ate/drank whatever she fancied even if it wasnt healthy!!

Day 10 she was much better

I had a prescription for Prochlorperazine as it was so bad.

PapercraftNinja · 29/12/2020 23:10

Little and often, like pp said just whatever you fancy regardless of the time.

I had to just lie down in the dark when possible and rest which hasn’t been easy to do but has helped.

Staying hydrated, ginger and nettle tea with sips of water throughout the day.

It’s awful isn’t it

daisydalrymple · 30/12/2020 10:26

Thank you all

I am also suffering with severe nausea and have now started vomiting. This is my 4th day os it today, how long has everyone else suffered with this symptom? I'm hoping it's not too much longer now.

Jrobhatch29 · 30/12/2020 13:51

Buccastem is really good. Ask someone to get you some from the chemist

fedupandfiredup · 30/12/2020 22:25

I'm suffering with this at the moment. Day 6 of Covid and day 2 of awful night time nausea. I've taken buccasten. Has the nausea worn off for you yet?

daisydalrymple · 31/12/2020 10:06

Day 9 and I think it’s eased slightly 🤞

Oh no!!! Thanks for replying. It's certainly wiped out any feelings of broodiness! Confused

annevonkleve · 31/12/2020 11:36

When I was pregnant I found chain eating boiled sweets helped with the morning sickness, so might help with this too? I hate ginger so that just made me feel worse.

Hope you feel better soon Flowers

fedupandfiredup · 31/12/2020 12:06

That's a good idea, I'll give it a try. Thank you Smile

Sueaxlbrick · 31/12/2020 13:38

I'm on day 11 and day 6 of the constant nausea. I had hyperemesis with my son and this is just as bad. I have anti sickness pills and they just take the edge off. I am so desperate to get back to normal now but this feels never ending

fedupandfiredup · 31/12/2020 14:43

It certainly does feel never ending. I can't move at all today. What pills do you have? I have buccastem but they don't touch it. Wondered whether it's worth calling the doctors for something stronger?

Sueaxlbrick · 31/12/2020 16:08

I have those too but then I was prescribed ondansetron which just take the edge off. Today feels a bit worse with the nausea to be honest, I have to constantly fight being sick. But my sense of smell seems to be starting to come bacl so hopefully that's a sign it's going.

Sueaxlbrick · 01/01/2021 09:08

Another day starts with the severe nausea and retching all the time. Surely it shouldn't last this long? I don't know what else to do now.

fedupandfiredup · 01/01/2021 09:14

Hi, I spoke to the doctor yesterday and he prescribed Cyclizine. They've stopped me actually vomiting and I've managed to drink sips of water but it's still passing straight through me as the diarrhoea has returned

Sueaxlbrick · 01/01/2021 14:18

I spoke to a 111 covid Dr and she has prescribed another antiemetic but this will be the 4th one I've tried now otherwise I think I need to go in and get some fluids, I just feel worse every day at the moment

fedupandfiredup · 01/01/2021 14:49

So do I. I've got an appointment at 4 in a covid clinic. Hope these new meds help

Sueaxlbrick · 01/01/2021 21:18

Fingers crossed you start feeling better. Did you go to your appointment? What happened?

fedupandfiredup · 02/01/2021 21:47

Hi there. They checked me over and said I wasn't dehydrated so told me to keep sipping fluids, taking the antiemetics and rehydration powders. Said that if I kept vomiting fluids then to go to A&E. How are you feeling?
