I am trying to remember what there was between the end of lockdown 1 (hospitality reopening, was it, early July) and Tiers....
There was the rule of 6, that was introduced before Tiers. We were in Tier 1, and I remember thinking there really wasn't any difference between rule of 6 and Tier 1.
So, in terms of reversing it, once every area is stepped down to Tier 1, the next stage would be to relax the rule of 6.
Given that the vast majority of hospitalisations and deaths are in the over 75's, and the uptake is likely to be high in that group, I think that Easter is a fair shout for most if not all of the country to be in Tier 1.
When we can go further than that depends on uptake in the younger groups, as well as how quickly it can be offered.
I think mass participation events may be possible by the summer. I still think we will be wearing masks indoors until the end of next year.
