Vaccine trial

So today I was accepted onto a vaccine trial and had the first injection. It could just be saline but I am just happy that I feel I can do something to help.

Any others on trials too?

Hello. Which one, novavax? If so there's a big thread for all of us.
Good for you.

No Janssen - the Belgian company (although I didn’t go all the way to Belgium).

ok well you'd be welcome there anyway as people would probably be interested to see how the trial differs, if at all.
We had two jabs three weeks apart (I think that part is complete for almost everyone now, around 15,000 in the UK) and then have blood tests at a few intervals for a year although there should be some positive data early next year. 50% of us got the placebo. Is it similar for you?
I had absolutely no side effects whatsoever so am convinced I had the placebo but don't actually know that and quite a lot of others didn't have any either (though some did).
How are you feeling so far? Like you I feel really proud to be involved and feels like the least I can do really. And even if it turns out I had the placebo still important and worthwhile.
