Posting for quick response - rules on isolating while waiting for DC's test result?

I can't find anything that officially clarifies this.

DC was sent home last week as a child in their class tested positive. DC self isolates the rest of us carry on as normal. Fine. DC had a runny nose and headache, assumed a cold.

DC has now developed a cough. Have now booked a test as school confirmed DC plays regularly with the child who tested positive.

No one else in the family have any symptoms of anything.

Do my other DC now need to stay off school until the test result comes back or do they carry on going until a positive test result for their sibling?

I've looked but can't find this specific guidance only that the DC with symptoms should isolate until result is know.

Can anyone link me to the England guidance for this?

We're just moving this over to the covid board!
